Role Description

The Product Owner (Finance) is responsible for owning and shaping the finance product area—spanning General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Asset Accounting, Controlling, and other core financial processes. This role ensures the delivery of a value prioritized product backlog that supports statutory compliance, financial control, auditability, and timely, accurate financial reporting. The Product Owner acts as the voice of the finance function within the digital product landscape, balancing regulatory requirements, business outcomes, and user experience.

The role requires close collaboration with Business Analysts, Enterprise and Solution Architects, and cross functional delivery teams to ensure that solutions meet programme objectives, adhere to design and security standards, and integrate cleanly with SAP S/4HANA and all connected platforms.

  • Curate, prioritise, and manage the finance product backlog across features, epics, and user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria.
  • Balance compliance, financial control, performance, and risk reduction needs to deliver incremental value.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to refine requirements and confirm delivery readiness.
  • Coordinate with Architecture and Security to support design decisions, integration points, and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and quality, driving corrective action when required.
  • Partner with Testing functions to ensure strong UAT processes and full traceability from requirements to test outcomes.

Skills and Experience Essential

  • Product ownership experience delivering finance capabilities in a major programme.
  • Strong stakeholder management up to senior leadership; confident backlog and scope management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP finance processes and integrations (e.g., S/4HANA Finance).

Engagement, recognition of talent, and care for our people’s well-being and safety are the cornerstones of our corporate culture.

Every day, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and stimulating work environment, actively promoting the principles of inclusion, equity, and diversity.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
