At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

The Platform organization is responsible for transforming advanced silicon technologies into deployable, customer-ready systems for AI and cloud infrastructure. The team designs, develops, validates, and delivers boards, switch systems, rack-scale infrastructure, and integrated platform solutions that enable customers to accelerate deployment of next-generation networking and AI architectures.

As Engineering Lead – Platform Solutions, you will build and lead a world-class engineering organization responsible for hardware system architecture, board development, system integration, validation, manufacturing readiness, and customer deployment support. This is a unique opportunity to establish a new engineering function, define the operating model, and scale a team capable of delivering industry-leading platform solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data center customers.

What You Can Expect

Engineering Leadership

  • Build, lead, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization spanning hardware, systems, validation, integration, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor engineers and technical experts.
  • Establish the engineering culture, operating model, and processes required to support rapid growth.
  • Create a high-performance organization focused on execution, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness during periods of growth, ambiguity, and changing priorities.

Platform And System Development

  • Lead development of networking platforms, switch systems, boards, modules, and rack-scale infrastructure solutions.
  • Own platform engineering execution from concept through design, bring-up, qualification, and production.
  • Drive architecture tradeoff decisions across hardware, software, mechanical, optical, thermal, and operational domains.
  • Develop product-ready systems that integrate networking, optics, compute, memory and infrastructure technologies.
  • Ensure engineering solutions meet customer, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Board Design and System Engineering

  • Lead design and development of complex high-speed boards and networking platforms.
  • Oversee board bring-up, debugging, system integration, and performance optimization.
  • Drive system-level architecture decisions including power, thermals, signal integrity, and reliability.
  • Ensure robust engineering practices throughout design, validation, and release cycles.
  • Create frameworks for design reviews, risk management, and technical governance.

Validation and Quality

  • Establish comprehensive board, system, and rack-level validation methodologies.
  • Build engineering laboratories capable of supporting bring-up, validation, reliability testing, and customer qualification.
  • Drive electrical, thermal, functional, environmental, and performance validation programs.
  • Develop scalable validation automation and data collection processes.
  • Ensure customer-ready quality and production readiness across all programs.

Manufacturing and Ecosystem Partnership

  • Lead technical engagement with ODMs, subcontractors, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and production readiness initiatives.
  • Partner with contract manufacturers to scale products from prototype through volume production.
  • Develop manufacturing, test, and quality strategies that support efficient ramp and deployment.
  • Resolve complex technical and operational challenges across the supply chain ecosystem.

Customer Engagement

  • Engage directly with hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise customers.
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering priorities and platform capabilities.
  • Support customer design reviews, deployments, issue resolution, and technical escalations.
  • Act as the executive engineering representative for platform development programs.

Leadership Traits

  • Proven builder of engineering teams and organizations from the ground up.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
  • Strong systems thinker capable of connecting board, system, rack, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
  • Exceptional problem solver with the ability to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Creates clarity, structure, and repeatable processes where none previously existed.
  • Builds trust and alignment across engineering, operations, product management, customers, and external partners.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in networking, switching, data center infrastructure, or AI system development.
  • Proven experience leading hardware and systems engineering organizations.
  • Deep expertise in networking and switch-based platform development.
  • Strong experience designing and delivering complex boards and integrated systems.
  • Extensive experience with system bring-up, validation, qualification, and production deployment.
  • Hands-on experience working with ODMs, subcontractors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Experience developing rack-scale infrastructure, AI systems, networking platforms, or data center solutions.
  • Proven success building and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.
  • Strong background creating engineering processes, governance, development methodologies, and execution frameworks.
  • Track record of delivering complex products from concept through customer deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI infrastructure, Ethernet switching, optical interconnects, or rack-scale architectures.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces including Ethernet, PCIe, UALink, and advanced interconnect technologies.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale customer deployments.
  • Familiarity with large-scale board manufacturing and system integration environments.
  • Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
