Lincoln International opened a dedicated office in Amsterdam covering the Benelux in 2010 and has rapidly established one of the largest mid-market M&A advisory practices. Since the opening of our office, we have closed a broad range of transactions for leading Benelux private equity houses, as well as numerous blue-chip corporate clients and business founders. Our operation is truly global, with circa 80% of our Benelux transactions involving cross-border M&A.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lincoln International is seeking an Analyst to join our rapidly growing, entrepreneurial M&A practice in the Benelux, consisting of >30 Dutch and Belgian investment bankers. Successful candidates have strong analytical and interpersonal abilities, want to develop their professional and personal skills and are motivated by the prospect of further building a leading M&A advisory firm.
At Lincoln International, we offer Analysts the opportunity to build a strong foundation in M&A within a highly entrepreneurial and internationally oriented environment. From day one, you will work closely with experienced bankers and gain meaningful exposure to clients, industries and transactions across the full deal lifecycle. You will be an integral part of the dynamic, entrepreneurial team of seasoned investment bankers in Amsterdam and other locations. We offer a steep learning curve in M&A, corporate finance, valuation and strategic thinking, as well as broad international exposure to a vast array of industries and clients.
The Analyst position at Lincoln International provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. The Analyst serves as the analytical anchor for his/her deal team and is responsible for preparing, completing and ensuring the accuracy of all financial modeling and analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of live deals and business development efforts
- Preparing marketing materials for sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments
- Conducting industry and company-specific research and identifying potential acquirers or acquisition targets
- Building complex financial and valuation models
- Facilitating due diligence and transaction closings, including supporting senior bankers during transaction negotiations
- Participating in new business meetings and interacting with clients on a regular basis
- Leading or implementing initiatives focused on growing the firm’s franchise value
Qualifications:
- Relevant previous internship experience in M&A advisory or Private Equity, including experience in assisting with live deal execution and business development efforts
- Fluent in finance and accounting, with strong business acumen
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong ability to work in teams combined with a good sense of humor
- Assertive, self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Master’s degree with excellent academic credentials
- Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English
