Food Industry Technician (FIT) Instructor
Turn your industry experience into someone else’s career.
Lincoln Tech, in partnership with the Food Production Solutions Association (FPSA), is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or automation professional to train the next generation of technicians.
This is hands-on instruction built around real equipment, real troubleshooting, and real industry skills.
What You’ll Do
- Teach industrial electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
- Train students on PLCs, ladder logic, controls, motors, drives, and troubleshooting
- Lead hands-on labs using industrial equipment
- Teach students to read schematics, diagnose faults, and work safely
- Coach and mentor students as they prepare to enter the industry
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, controls, or field service
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of PLCs and industrial controls
- Ability to explain technical concepts and develop others
- A passion for helping the next generation succeed
Teaching experience is a plus, not a requirement. If you’ve trained technicians, mentored apprentices, led a crew, or shown coworkers how to troubleshoot equipment, you may already have what it takes.
You’ve built the experience. Now pass it on.
