The posting

We are a recruitment company representing an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) company to search for a Procurement Manager to join their Hong Kong Team.

Location: Hong Kong (Relocation Required)

Company Overview:

We are a growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) company specialising in the secure collection, data destruction, refurbishment, and remarketing of used IT equipment.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with strong expertise in the second-hand IT hardware market to lead procurement activities in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing used IT assets, developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, and securing sufficient volumes to support business growth and profitability.

This role requires an established network of suppliers in the second-hand IT hardware market, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to operate independently. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Hong Kong for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing and procurement of used IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, RAM, CPUs, GPUs, and other IT components.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand a strong network of suppliers in the second-hand IT hardware and electronics market.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and purchase volumes to maximise margins and ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor second-hand IT hardware market trends, pricing fluctuations, product demand, and resale values to identify purchasing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and consistent supply of quality IT assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to expand sourcing channels and support business growth.
  • Coordinate with internal operations, warehouse, technical, and sales teams to align procurement with quality, quantity, inventory, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure all purchased assets meet company quality standards, data security requirements, and relevant compliance obligations.
  • Oversee procurement records, supplier performance, purchasing activities, and inventory movements.
  • Drive procurement performance through effective supplier management, purchasing strategies, margin optimisation, and achievement of procurement targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in ITAD, used IT hardware, refurbished electronics, or the second-hand electronics market.
  • Proven track record in sourcing and purchasing used IT equipment, with an established and active supplier network in the relevant market.
  • Strong knowledge of second-hand IT hardware pricing, market demand, common product models, equipment condition grading, and resale values.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and purchase volumes to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving procurement performance independently.
  • Familiarity with IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), data destruction, refurbishment, and remarketing processes is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Commercially driven, proactive, and capable of working independently in a target-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Hong Kong for the role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
