Job Description

We have openings for a Business Analyst to support the Superblock (SBK) within the Strategic Deterrence (SD) Directorate. You will also help establish, improve, implement, and sustain business processes, procedures, tracking, and analytical tools within the Integration and Planning Associate Superblock Director (ASD). This role may be assigned to support either the Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) Lab or the Mission Support Team, within the Integration and Planning ASD, depending on programmatic needs; the assignment will be determined by the hiring team. The responsibilities below apply to both assignments. These positions will be in the Administration Division within the Operations and Business Directorate and are matrixed to the Strategic Deterrence (SD) Directorate.

These positions may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options, may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.

These positions will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will

  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with technical and programmatic staff, users, and project managers, to coordinate support, respond to inquiries, track and facilitate actions and decisions, and review proposals for alignment with SBK programmatic objectives and regulatory considerations.
  • Gather user requirements, define problems, capture objectives, and support formulation of project scope, schedule, and resource needs; support the prioritization processes for engineering work packages, facility projects, equipment installations, and other Superblock work, consolidating input from stakeholders and helping to prepare materials for decision-making forums using established prioritization criteria and supporting stakeholder decision making.
  • Prepare, route, and track proposals through the change control boards and other internal review and approval processes and ensure timely communication of decisions to responsible parties.
  • Maintain and track the flow of required documentation (for example, permits, engineering packages, equipment specs, sign-offs, etc.) needed to support work packages, facility projects, and equipment installation and deployment activities, ensuring items move through review and approval on schedule.
  • Gather performance data and monitor and report on the status of projects and operational activities, such as equipment installations and calibrations, maintaining a centralized tracking system that reflects current progress, outstanding items, and readiness; identify and escalate documentation gaps, scheduling conflicts, or status discrepancies, and assist with analysis and recommended corrective actions.
  • Support the creation and management of unclassified and classified quality assurance and program-specific technical websites, including documents related to work package proposals and change control decisions.
  • Apply established policies and procedures to support document-control strategies, identify improvement opportunities, and assist with recommendations and implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Assist in gathering data for the development of websites, documents, editing, formatting, and updating services for program reports, quality implementing and operating procedures, presentations, data forms, and other programmatic documentation; prepare regular status summaries and dashboards. Ensure clarity of content, consistency of format, and accuracy of grammar.
  • Perform Teams and SharePoint site administration and maintain organized shared document structures that support proposal workflows, change control documentation, and program records.
  • Assist in the development of programmatic documents such as reports, decision memos, external responses, and action items, particularly those that summarize work package, facility project, materials management, and change control board decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities, at the E01.2 level

  • Assess alternatives, provide recommendations, and develop proposals for project changes with stakeholders; conduct assessments of current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Research and analyze current processes; develop and recommend improvements to defined goals, procedures, workflows, tools, and records; support implementation and ongoing maintenance to support NDA Lab or Mission Support Team projects and operations.
  • Participate in defining, automating, and improving new and existing business processes and workflows, with a particular emphasis on the intake, review, prioritization, and change control of projects and operations.
  • Research and prepare SharePoint content, as well as documentation for user guides, training manuals, and process checklists related to proposal intake, prioritization, change control boards, and document control.
  • Gather schedule information for projects and operations, perform preliminary analysis, and assist in making recommendations; prepare, route, and track proposals through the change control board and ensure timely communication of decisions to responsible parties.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
