Lotus Group is proud to partner with our Toronto-based client, a leader in digital construction, to recruit a Business Development professional to support their continued growth in the Toronto market. Our client is transforming the construction industry through Digital Component Construction — combining advanced technology, precision manufacturing, and prefabrication to deliver interior environments faster, more sustainably, and with greater precision than traditional construction methods. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in expanding market presence by developing strong relationships across the architecture, design, and construction community.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and general contractors across the Toronto market
  • Position the organization as a trusted partner for digitally enabled interior construction solutions
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities across commercial, institutional, and workplace sectors
  • Proactively build relationships with corporate clients, developers, and organizations planning new workplace or institutional environments
  • Engage decision-makers responsible for workplace development, renovations, and interior construction projects
  • Introduce project teams to Digital Component Construction and collaborate early in the design phase to explore innovative alternatives to traditional construction methods
  • Develop project budgets, proposals, and presentations while leading technical and project discussions with clients and partners
  • Work closely with internal design, project management, manufacturing, and installation teams to support projects from concept through execution
  • Represent the organization within the Toronto architecture and construction community through industry events, networking opportunities, and association involvement

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following industries: commercial construction, architectural products, interior construction systems, modular or prefabricated construction, construction project development, or commercial furniture environments
  • Strong understanding of the commercial construction and design process
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated success in business development and relationship-driven sales environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative and ability to build a market presence
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Compensation

A comprehensive compensation package will accompany the successful candidate. Starting salary range is 90-110K based on experience and qualifications.
