  • Green infrastructure and stormwater management

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Context

LSU is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana's capital, on the Lower Mississippi River near the Atchafalaya Basin and Gulf of Mexico. Louisiana's intense rainfall, flooding, subsidence, coastal change, heat, difficult soils, wetlands, and aging infrastructure offer a distinctive laboratory for resilient design and construction. The School is part of LSU's College of Art and Design and offers BLA and MLA degrees. College resources include the Hilltop Arboretum, fabrication and woodshop facilities, digital technologies, and opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, such as LSU's Coastal Ecosystem Design Studio.

The School values critical thinking, iterative making, technical competence, and creative inquiry rooted in the context of the American South. Students benefit from internships, domestic and international field studies, and a strong alum network.

Opportunities

College resources include LSU’s Hilltop Arboretum, a fabrication lab, a woodshop, computer labs, and technology, including robots, drones, 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and virtual reality headsets. Hilltop Arboretum is a 14-acre laboratory with native plants, a nursery, and extensive community programming. There are opportunities for interdisciplinary research and teaching through LSU’s Coastal Ecosystem Design Studio, which brings together scientists, engineers, and designers to develop nature-based solutions to storms and flooding. The school offers many opportunities for off-campus experiences for students, including internships and both domestic and international field trips. The school also maintains an extensive and loyal alumni network that generously supports the school’s academic programs and helps our graduates find internships and jobs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
