The posting

The Role

As an AI Solutions Engineer (all genders), you'll build, run and improve the AI agents and automations that colleagues across Lucanet use every day. This is a remote role where you'll own small-to-medium internal tools end to end, from the first stakeholder conversation to production, working hands-on with LLMs, tool calling, RAG, agent architectures and AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.

Join the team shaping how Lucanet uses AI internally, building practical tools for colleagues across Finance, Sales, People, IT and Legal. Working side by side with those departments, you'll uncover what they need, then turn what works into reusable components and shared knowledge that speeds up every future build. What you'll do

  • Design and build AI agents and multi-agent systems using prompt engineering, tool calling, RAG and agent architectures
  • Run and extend live AI agents in production, investigating failures, shipping fixes and adding new integrations
  • Own delivery of internal AI tools from first stakeholder conversation through production deployment and monitoring
  • Use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Codex daily, shaping team standards for spec-driven development
  • Build integrations with REST APIs and workflow automation, choosing deterministic or AI approaches based on what fits
  • Build evals, golden datasets and guardrails that keep agents reliable, with human-in-the-loop steps where needed
  • Deploy and maintain workloads through CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, tracking usage, errors and cost
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, People, IT and Legal teams to scope needs and track adoption and outcomes

What you bring to the table

You have

  • Delivered at least one LLM or agentic project end to end, whether in a job, internship, thesis or side project
  • Solid programming fundamentals in a language like Python, TypeScript, Java, C# or Go, including testing, debugging and Git
  • Hands-on knowledge of prompt engineering, tool calling, context windows, RAG and agent architectures, plus a clear view of where LLMs fail and how to make them reliable
  • Practical experience with REST APIs and basic SQL
  • A product mindset: you check whether your tools get used and whether they actually save people time
  • Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical colleagues in a remote, cross-functional team

It's a plus if you also have

  • Experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain or LlamaIndex, workflow automation tooling, or AWS, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • A degree in a STEM field, or a portfolio of real technical work that shows the same depth
