Overview

Lutron’s Gurgaon team is seeking a technically driven professional to join our SAP support and delivery function. In this role, you will leverage your deep SAP expertise to solve complex business challenges, drive system stability, and deliver high-quality solutions that support critical business operations.

You’ll collaborate closely with a team of skilled Computer Science and IT professionals, contributing to strategic initiatives, optimizing enterprise processes, and enhancing the efficiency of our global operations and overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with global SAP on Basis and/or BTP, providing technical support
  • ABAP, CPI and IDOC technical support
  • Monitor and review IDOC Error messages (Inbound and outbound).
  • Work with the technical team and/or functional team to determine the root cause and then resolve the errors
  • Create Fiori tiles/reports based on business needs
  • Lead and provide directions to the team on the day-to-day deliveries of the team, manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Responsible for quality of the deliverables, identify and generate team metrics
  • Coach and mentor the team members and plan their career development
  • Collaborate with team members, across locations, with other teams to resolve errors and with and management through the organization, using strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Gain knowledge of other IT functions to be able to understand the integration with the SAP environment
  • Plan the training and onboarding for new team members, and for current team members on new Areas / Modules
  • Interface with internal stakeholders throughout all project phases, including understanding business requirements
  • Identify and lead improvements to procedures as a part of continuous improvement
  • Drive SAP issues to resolution, including incorporating lessons learned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with a 60% and above, or a 4-year degree in engineering/technology
  • 6–9-year experience in the relevant field
  • Experience in SAP Basis (Business Application Software Integrated Solution) knowledge and experience and/or Experience in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
  • ABAP knowledge and experience
  • Experience as a SAP S/4 developer
  • IDOC knowledge and experience
  • Fiori and CPI Experience
  • EDI knowledge is a plus
  • Exposure to leading teams with training and guiding junior team members
  • Formal team leadership and supervision experience would be a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of software development processes and best practices (Agile or Scrum)
  • A proactive attitude to platform enhancements and desire to implement best practice solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and strong written and communication skills
  • Strong service mind-set
  • Strong attention to details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to EDI integrations and related standards.
  • Experience working in cross-functional or global team environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP integration landscapes beyond core modules.
  • Experience contributing to process improvements or governance practices.
