The posting

Position Overview

We are looking for a versatile Full-Stack AI Engineer who can handle both backend and frontend tasks, though the role will be mostly backend-heavy. You will help create prototypes, custom dashboards, and new customer-facing features, often leveraging AI/LLM services. You’ll work closely with our engineering manager and small dev team to deliver polished applications at startup speed.

  • All positions are remote; however, candidates must be within ±2 hours of Saudi Arabia (KSA) time zone for easy collaboration and daily stand-ups.
  • Expect to work in a fast-paced environment with daily sprints or very short sprint cycles.
  • You’ll have frequent check-ins and must be comfortable giving quick, transparent updates about your progress or roadblocks.
  • We expect engineers to be hands-on: pushing code, demonstrating progress, and quickly reacting to feedback or new requirements.

Who Will Thrive Here:

  • Those who combine solid engineering fundamentals with a can-do attitude and strong sense of ownership.
  • Individuals who enjoy rolling up their sleeves, experimenting rapidly, and adapting to changing project demands.
  • Engineers excited about AI, LLMs, voice technology, and the chance to shape cutting-edge solutions for enterprise clients.
  • We value clear, concise communication and the ability to commit to (and deliver on) realistic deadlines. You’ll need strong time management skills to deal with daily priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend & Services Development (70%): Develop APIs and microservices in Python that interact with AI models for summarization, Q&A, or other advanced functionalities. Implement data pipelines, manage cloud resources (Google Cloud), and maintain code quality through testing and CI/CD.
  • Lightweight Frontend Development (30%): Create (or integrate) simple yet functional user interfaces for internal dashboards or client demos. Use modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) to build minimal but effective UIs for features like AI chat, analytics, or reporting.
  • AI Feature Implementation: Use (and sometimes switch between) different model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Gemini) for features like text generation, summarization, or question-answering. Build guardrails around LLM usage to ensure data security, compliance, and accurate results.
  • Project Ownership: Own end-to-end feature development: from gathering requirements to deployment and iteration based on user feedback. Collaborate with designers or product managers to understand user needs and craft solutions that are both technically sound and user-friendly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in both backend and frontend capacities.
  • Comfortable switching between Python for backend tasks and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend tasks.
  • Familiarity with the Shadcn UI Framework
  • Experience in cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud (GCP).
  • Ability to quickly learn new AI/LLM APIs and implement them in production.
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication skills, especially in a remote, fast-paced setting. Organized and able to provide daily status updates in line with rapid sprint cycles. Self-driven, able to make architectural decisions with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with OCR, NLP and WebRTC frameworks
  • Past projects involving STT/TTS integrations.
  • Familiarity with telephony integration or other real-time communication APIs.
  • Knowledge of Arabic or prior experience localizing AI solutions for non-English languages.

Interview Process

  1. Screening Call
  2. Take-home coding exercise
  3. Hands-on coding session

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
