Department description

The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams’ aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.
Enterprise Resilience reports into the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is responsible for defining group-wide Business Continuity and Operational Resilience standards, controls and reporting to ensure the Group operates effectively and is meeting its financial, strategic, assurance and regulatory Operational Resilience obligations. The area covers Business Resilience and IT Service Continuity.
Role Summary
The Business Resilience analyst will assist in maintaining and improving the organisation’ resilience programs to ensure the business continuity and operational resilience arrangements are fit for purpose, embedded and in line with risk appetite.
To ensure the compliance with the organisations policies globally, assisting in coordinating and supporting local coordinators to deliver against business resilience objectives to prepare, respond and adapt in the event of disruption.
This is a global role and based in London as a hybrid role aligning to the agile working policy.
Responsibilities
Role specific:
- Support timely delivery and review of annual Resilience Self Assessments across the Marex Group, tracking and reporting progress to key stakeholders and forums.
- Coordinate review of business continuity plans with business stakeholders to confirm they are fit for purpose, published and understood with respect to critical people, locations, data, systems, and third-party dependencies — including target recovery times and recovery points.
- Coordinate and support periodic resilience and continuity tests (including recovery exercises, walk-throughs and emergency communication tests) to test response plans to ensure effectiveness and to capture any risks requiring mitigation.
- Support process for response to resilience incidents and events.
- Assist with the delivery and change aspects of the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity programme and associated IT projects, tracking progress against key delivery milestones
- Develop and manage content on the Business Continuity SharePoint / Intranet site, manage quarterly awareness updates and assist in training of resilience stakeholders to ensure effective awareness of obligations and support.
- Coordinate compilation of metrics and management information from diverse data sources to produce high quality monthly and periodic reporting on programme status and resilience associated risks.
- keep informed of any regulatory changes in relation to resilience and continuity and identify any actions or activities required for response / remediation.
- Support response to Operational Resilience and Business Continuity focused (or associated) internal and external IT audits, managing expectations of key stakeholders and tracking deliverables to suitable conclusions
- Support response to Due Diligence and client queries relating to the organisation’s resilience, managing expectations of key stakeholders and tracking deliverables to suitable conclusions.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Enterprise Resilience Manager in relation to the effective operation of business resilience, continuity and third-party assurance activities.

- Experience of working in a regulated environment and with stakeholders across Operational Risk, Technology, Audit and Compliance.
- Experience of authoring process and procedure documentation
- Practical understanding of Business Continuity in a regulated environment.
- Practical understanding of the Regulatory Operational Resilience obligations.
- Associate Membership of the Business Continuity Institute is desirable.
