Job Overview
Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Warehouse Associate - Forklift Operations to support warehouse, inventory, material handling, and logistics activities at our North Phoenix location. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with MICU, not a temporary or contract assignment.
This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, storing, and distributing materials and equipment to support daily warehouse operations and ongoing semiconductor projects. The Warehouse Associate will work closely with warehouse personnel, logistics teams, drivers, and other departments to ensure materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse and forklift operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position requires a dependable individual who can follow established procedures, maintain accurate inventory records, and contribute to a safe and organized workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Material Handling
- Receive, unload, inspect, sort, and store incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Safely move, organize, and stage materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and other transportation vehicles.
- Pick, pack, stage, label, and prepare materials for shipment, delivery, or internal distribution.
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and inventory records.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, secured, and organized according to warehouse procedures.
- Support daily warehouse activities to maintain efficient material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with handling oversized, heavy, or sensitive materials using appropriate equipment and procedures.
Forklift & Equipment Operations
- Operate forklifts and other assigned warehouse equipment in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
- Perform required pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns, damage, or unsafe conditions.
- Transport, stack, and retrieve palletized materials while maintaining load stability and safe operating practices.
- Follow designated equipment routes, speed limits, pedestrian safety practices, and material-handling procedures.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning materials in designated storage and staging areas.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report issues requiring repair or maintenance.
- Follow established procedures for equipment operation, material movement, and warehouse traffic control.
Inventory Control & Documentation
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of materials received, stored, transferred, and shipped.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, or incorrect shipments.
- Update inventory transactions and warehouse records using designated tracking systems, spreadsheets, or warehouse management software.
- Support proper material identification, labeling, location tracking, and stock rotation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to resolve material availability or documentation concerns.
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Support
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, staging, and verifying shipment accuracy.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, and documentation accuracy.
- Assist with coordinating material pickups, deliveries, and internal transfers.
- Communicate shipment delays, material shortages, and receiving discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other departments to support daily shipping and receiving requirements.
- Support material staging and distribution for ongoing semiconductor construction and operational projects.
Safety, Documentation & Team Support
- Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, forklift safety requirements, PPE requirements, and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse, including storage racks, staging areas, aisles, and loading docks.
- Identify and promptly report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, or material-handling concerns.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training activities.
- Follow established lifting, stacking, storage, and material transportation procedures to prevent injuries and equipment damage.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and complete assigned operational records.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, logistics teams, and project staff to support operational needs.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, teamwork, professionalism, and a willingness to assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, or material handling.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Ability to safely load, unload, stack, and transport materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse storage procedures.
- Ability to read and understand shipping labels, packing lists, purchase orders, and basic warehouse documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a warehouse team.
- Ability to perform physically active warehouse duties in an industrial environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance.
- Ability to successfully complete required forklift operator training and evaluation before operating equipment independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous forklift certification or documented operator training.
- Experience operating sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts.
- Experience working in a semiconductor, construction, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, or Microsoft Excel.
- Experience handling construction materials, industrial equipment, or specialized project supplies.
- Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and material tracking practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment supporting multiple projects or departments.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment when appropriate.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive movements throughout the assigned shift.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and move materials in designated work areas.
- Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial activity.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
