JOB SUMMARY
Marriott is seeking an experienced FLEX Director, Oracle Cloud Platform Strategy & Engineering with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), and Oracle PaaS Services management & administration. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in cloud administration, database management, security architecture, environment automation, and operational excellence across Oracle Cloud platforms. This role is responsible for managing the administration, security, performance, automation, and governance of Oracle cloud environments while providing technical leadership and guidance to development and support teams.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise-scale software applications, integrations, and digital platforms including: 6+ years of experience working with Oracle Database & Platform. 6+ years of hands-on experience administering Cloud SaaS, Paas & IaaS. Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, OCI, ATP, and Oracle PaaS services. 5+ years of experience managing environment refreshes, backups, migrations, and configuration deployments 3+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration and operations. Experience implementing SSL certificates, security controls, identity management, and access governance. Proven experience developing automation solutions for cloud administration and operational processes. Deep understanding of cloud platform architecture, database administration, and security best practices. Expertise in database security, privilege management, and governance. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Oracle Cloud Certifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle ERP and EPM implementations.
- Experience with OCI networking, IAM, monitoring, logging, and cloud governance services.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud automation frameworks.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Shell Scripting, REST APIs, OCI CLI, and related technologies.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Oracle ERP, EPM Administration & Operations
- Administer and support Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, OCI PaaS services, ATP databases, and OCI environments.
- Manage environment provisioning, refreshes, backups, restore processes, cloning activities, and configuration migrations.
- Monitor and maintain platform stability, availability, reliability, and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and platform administration standards.
Database & Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Govern and Perform database administration activities including privilege management, user provisioning, database health monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Implement database governance standards and promote best practices in data model design and security.
- Govern & Manage ATP databases and associated OCI infrastructure services.
- Conduct capacity planning, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Administer and manage AIDP Data Lake & Spark clusters.
Security & Compliance
- Design, implement, and maintain security frameworks for Oracle ERP, EPM, OCI, ATP, and PaaS environments.
- Manage role-based access controls, segregation of duties, and security configurations.
- Establish security governance processes and ensure adherence to organizational security policies.
- Provide technical guidance on SSL implementation, security protocols, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Certificate Management
- Manage public and private SSL certificates across Oracle cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain processes for certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, monitoring, tracking, and compliance.
- Coordinate certificate deployments and ensure timely renewals to prevent service disruptions.
Automation & DevOps Enablement
- Design and implement environment administration, monitoring, and configuration automation solutions.
- Develop automated processes for environment setup, migration, patching, validation, and operational health checks.
- Build reusable frameworks to improve platform efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Promote Infrastructure-as-Code and automation best practices where applicable.
EPM Performance & Optimization
- Leverage EPM Automate and cloud administration tools to monitor Oracle EPM environments.
- Analyze and optimize BSO and ASO cube performance.
- Identify opportunities for tuning application performance, data load processes, metadata management, and business rule execution.
- Implement proactive monitoring and performance management processes.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle ERP, EPM, OCI, ATP, and PaaS technologies.
- Provide guidance and support to development, integration, and platform engineering teams.
- Review architecture, security, and operational designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Mentor team members on Oracle cloud administration best practices.
