Job Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.

Join Mondelēz International as Senior Brand Manager LU / Prince (Business & Portfolio) BNL, leading our largest Biscuits & Baked Snacks brand in the Benelux, representing 50% of the category's net revenue. Working with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for driving brand growth and strengthening the position of LU and Prince in Belgium and the Netherlands, leading end-to-end business and portfolio responsibilities — from category and brand strategy, to portfolio management and innovation — all while developing a strong and engaged team.

What You Need to Know About This Position

LU is one of the most recognised biscuit brands in the Benelux, with a rich heritage and a portfolio that spans everyday treats to iconic sub-brands like Prince. The brand combines strong local relevance with the scale and expertise of Mondelēz International, operating in a highly dynamic and competitive category.

The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional, year-on-year growth (>3% net revenue CAGR) in both Belgium and the Netherlands, managing €167MM in RSV, through an exciting set of responsibilities:

Brand / Category Understanding & Consumer Insights

  • Analyse market data to monitor category and brand dynamics
  • Leverage consumer research to identify emerging needs and opportunities
  • Go beyond analysis: transition from data to action by identifying key interventions and translating insights into clear, prioritised next steps
  • Define growth drivers for the short, medium, and long term

Brand & Portfolio Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute the annual brand plan aligned with regional strategy and local market dynamics
  • Define clear brand positioning and growth drivers and articulate them into a clear brand and category strategic vision
  • Lead portfolio strategy: designing and implementing a portfolio roadmap that drives sustainable growth
  • Play a central role in defining the LU growth model — assess what is working and what is not, identify key growth platforms, and define concrete interventions (e.g. renovation, NPD, iPPA, promo, distribution)
  • Manage brand P&L, forecasting, and budget allocation

Innovation & Product Launches

  • Identify growth opportunities based on consumer insights and market trends
  • Lead end-to-end new product development and launches (NPD / I2M process)
  • Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and sales to ensure successful commercialisation

Pricing & Revenue Growth Management

  • Develop a deep understanding of brand pricing positioning in the market
  • Partner with the RGM team to identify clear pricing strategy and actions

S&OP / Demand Planning

  • Maintain a clear understanding of IBP business status
  • Work with the multifunctional team to identify plans to achieve brand targets

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all brand and budget-related topics across functions (CP&A, Sales, PCM, Finance)
  • Collaborate with central and country teams — particularly France
  • Input business understanding, context, and vision into creative briefs to agencies

People & Organisational Leadership

  • Lead and coach a team of 2 Brand Managers (JBM LU/Prince NL and JBM LU/Prince BE)
  • Focus on strong talent development and performance management
  • Partner with multifunctional teams to drive best-in-class execution of brand and portfolio strategy
  • Contribute to the Marketing Excellence and extended Benelux Leadership team culture

The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for: market share growth, net revenue and margin performance, brand equity metrics, successful innovation rate, and distribution and in-store execution quality.

What Extra Ingredients You Will Bring

  • Strategic Thinking & Execution — Solid strategic thinking with strong execution skills: able to move seamlessly from business analysis to defining what to do with it, identifying the key actions, and translating data into clear next steps.
  • Communication & Influence — Able to structure recommendations so that stakeholders quickly understand the context, the rationale, and the step needed — whether a decision or a request for support.
  • Rigour & Attention to Detail — A natural reflex to cross-check key numbers, spot inconsistencies across documents, and ensure overall accuracy before sharing.
  • Consumer-Centric Mindset — Deep understanding of consumer needs; uses insight to shape brand direction and portfolio decisions.
  • Brand Building & Creativity — Passion for brand building with strong creative judgement and storytelling ability.
  • Financial Acumen — Data-driven decision-making through strong analytical skills and solid P&L management expertise.
  • People Leadership — Strong people management skills; experience developing talent and working in a matrix organisation.
  • Growth Mindset — Autonomy, resilience, and ability to stay current with new developments including AI, digital commerce, and emerging marketing trends.

Education, Certifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of FMCG brand marketing experience, with proven expertise in brand building, portfolio strategy, and new product development.
  • Brand & Portfolio: Proven track record in brand and portfolio strategy, pricing, and innovation development; experience defining brand growth models and translating long-term strategy into concrete short-term interventions.
  • Market Knowledge: Local Benelux market knowledge and experience preferred; experience managing localised brands with high autonomy preferred.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.

What We Offer

At Mondelēz International, you will join a company that genuinely believes snacking can make life a little sweeter — for our consumers, our teams, and the world. We offer:

  • A dynamic, international work environment with iconic global brands
  • Real ownership and accountability from day one
  • A collaborative, people-first culture that celebrates curiosity and learning
  • Competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including company car
  • Opportunities for regional and global career growth within Mondelēz
  • Flexible working arrangements and a focus on wellbeing

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
