The engineer may also perform daily production activities in the pilot plant while ensuring compliance with safety, good manufacturing practice (GMP), and environmental requirements. This work includes executing equipment setups and performing batch processing, as well as participating in troubleshooting and technical investigations. The engineer in this role may also have the opportunity to introduce new processes to internal or external manufacturing sites as new products are brought to the market. A high level of innovation, creativity, and self-initiative along with the ability to plan and organize activities are expected, along with strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Highly effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, writing, and time management skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with process scale-up and/or technology transfer, moving from laboratory to pilot plant or production scale.
  • Experience applying statistical experimental design (i.e. Design of Experiments) and/or process modeling.
  • Experience with chemical engineering-related technology development.
  • Direct experience with pharmaceutical drug substance process development.
  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and small molecule synthesis unit operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
