The posting

Meta is seeking an Environmental Analyst to support environmental monitoring and analytics critical to regulatory compliance of our international data center and network builds. This position will work on cross-functional program efforts for the large and growing global infrastructure portfolio during the pre-development, construction, and operations phases. This position will work closely with both the data center and network environmental teams, as well as our land management team, and will report directly to the Global Head of Environment within the Site Development organization. Some travel is necessary to visit our sites (up to 25%).

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve analytical frameworks for tracking Meta's global data center, network, and land management environment obligations, including portfolio dashboards, milestone and reporting tracking, and risk indicators
  • Design analytical approaches spanning the full environmental permitting lifecycle—integrating data from site selection, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Own the analytical data architecture for the environmental and land management team to inform reporting across multiple environmental disciplines (air, noise, cultural, biology, native habitat, contaminants, etc)
  • Drive automation of data collection, quality control/assurance, transformation, and reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and support compliance with environmental regulations and permits
  • Serve as an analytical integration point for stakeholders with the environmental and land management team
  • Design and document analytical methodologies, SOPs, and training materials that enable partners to self-serve for routine data needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, or environmental programs
  • Experience in designing analytical frameworks and executing complex multi-variable analyses independently
  • Experience building portfolio-level dashboards and reporting systems that drive executive decision-making
  • Experience communicating complex analytical findings to leadership and cross-functional partners through presentations, reports, or executive summaries
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and environmental data pipeline development, combined with experience in Tableau or Power BI for visualization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize analytical workflows and drive measurable improvements in data quality, reporting efficiency, or decision-support speed
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with federal and state environmental review processes such as NEPA, Clean Water Act Section 404, or state equivalents in the context of large-scale infrastructure developments
  • Experience designing and executing multi-variable analytical frameworks that integrate environmental, regulatory, and operational data to support capital project decisions
  • Familiarity with hyperscale data center development lifecycle phases, including site selection, environmental permitting, entitlement, and construction

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
