The posting

The Reality Labs (RL) Finance team, part of Finance & Business Planning (FBP), manages the P&L for Reality Labs, the division that makes AI-glasses and VR devices. This role is on our Product Finance team which oversees our investments in new product development, headcount, operating expenses, and capital investment. We serve as financial and strategic advisers to product and business leaders, bringing an independent, objective perspective to planning, forecasting, and key investment decisions.

In this role, you will be the go-to finance partner for headcount (HC), OpEx, and infrastructure capacity planning across RL. You will drive forecast and budget inputs, track performance against plan, and turn the numbers into clear insights for leadership. The role offers broad exposure across product, business, and infrastructure, and direct interaction with senior finance and business leaders. Successful candidates take initiative to move work forward, effective partnership and communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging and align stakeholders across functions, and know how to get the details right while moving fast.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to build business reviews: track investments, analyze deal-level financials, and turn the analysis into clear storylines and materials for leadership
  • Own monthly HC and OpEx tracking vs. plan and forecast: analyze variances, surface trends and spend risks, and recommend actions to stay within budget
  • Drive forecast, budget and long-range plan (LRP) inputs: build the bridges, scenarios and risks-and-opportunities views that inform investment decisions, and partner with the cross-RL Finance team on close and forecast
  • Consolidate infrastructure capacity demand (in particular AI), understand the drivers, and monitor usage and spend against plan
  • Strengthen HC, OpEx, and infrastructure governance: maintain the taxonomy and allocations, manage HC debt and paybacks, and see budget trades, capacity reallocations, and savings through to closure
  • Leveraging AI tools, spearhead the development and implementation of recurring reports, models, and dashboards to cut manual work and improve accuracy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a relevant quantitative field, and 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, management consulting, investment banking, strategy, business operations, and/or analytics
  • Experience building financial models in Excel or Google Sheets (forecasting, variance, and scenario analysis)
  • Experience building and owning recurring reporting end-to-end with strong attention to detail
  • Experience tailoring messaging for audiences of varying seniority, including turning analysis into a concise story for senior stakeholders
  • Experience prioritizing competing workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with headcount and OpEx planning at a technology company
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and an appetite to experiment with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
