Finance Manager, WhatsApp

We're looking for a Finance Manager to support the full financial picture for WhatsApp. This is a visible and integral role across the organization - directly supporting business leaders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Monetization. You will support decisions around nascent product bets and resource allocation, expense management, and prioritization across a full range of planning, strategic decision making, and forecasting. You'll engage daily with business leaders, and act as both a financial business partner and strategic advisor to the leadership team.

An ideal candidate will be interested in the WhatsApp product, have experience working with business leaders on monetization and investment decisions, have a demonstrated interest in data and technology, and be able to self direct highly ambiguous and strategic projects. This role will offer you the opportunity to understand and contribute to many facets of business and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Become an integral part of the org's strategy and planning processes
• Own end-to-end partnerships with a broad range of Product leads
• Drive nuanced ROI and impact frameworks across headcount, opex and capacity investments
• Own day-to-day operational tasks related to budget management
• Perform strategic / ad-hoc business analysis as required
• Champion independent viewpoints across WhatsApp and Meta Finance leadership
• Collaborate with horizontal Financial Planning & Analysis teams to improve and operationalize processes related to headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in finance / strategic finance, business strategy, product analytics, or related professional experience managing strategic investments and strategy
• Financial leadership across headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Experience synthesizing strategic insights and problem solving individually or in a group setting
• Experience communicating, influencing, and relationship building with business leaders
• Experience independently managing projects from scoping through delivery, including tracking details and maintaining organized documentation, and experience prioritizing competing workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience in data analytics, developing code, and/or forecasting (SQL, Python, R)
• Experience working at a leading technology, internet or high growth company
• Experience supporting financial planning during periods of rapid organizational or product growth
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

US: $149,000/year to $212,000/year + bonus + equity
