Job Title/Position

Associate, Fund Accounting

Job Responsibilities

Describe the job role and the day to day tasks involved. Role will be responsible for all or some of the following: ● Preparing low to medium complexity NAV packages in accordance with MaplesFS policies and procedures; ● Ensure the proprietary database is completed with accurate data by the take-on point of the client; ● Liaison with internal and external parties, such as investment managers, prime brokers and custodians in relations to trading activities as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation, if required;

● Liaison with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries , if required;

● Data entry for new client and fund setups

● Data management for fund closures and client terminations

● Liaising with other functions of the company across the globe, ensuring the company’s services are delivered timely and accurately

● Fee processing management – including booking of fees in the billing system and preparation of invoices

● Completion of monthly revenue accrual reports

● Retrieving data and performing data analysis for management/client reporting

●

Preparation of Management Reporting including but not limited to KPIs, Accounts Receivable, Profitability, and other client management reporting as required.

Qualifications

Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities

● Degree holder in accounting, finance, business, or computer/technology

Competencies/Personality Traits

●

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English

●

Proactive, self-starter and detail-oriented; ● Good Excel skills such as Vlookup, Pivot Table.

●

A team player with good time management skills, positive thinking and willing to learn attitude

●

Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines.

● Acting in accordance with internal policies and procedures, consulting with others as appropriate;

● Exhibiting integrity ;

● Maintaining and promoting corporate values in conducting internal and external business activities and when interacting with colleagues;

● Adhering to the highest individual ethical and social standards when dealing with colleagues and clients;

● Being aware of the sensitivity of information and treat it appropriately;

● Demonstrating a high productivity level in work through time and cost control.

Prior Experience

Describe the prior working experience a candidate should have.

● Experience level (with normal MFS job titles):

● Level 1 (Associate 1): Fresh graduate (accounting/finance) or someone with a couple years’ experience only

● Level 2 (Associate 2): 1 year hedge fund or private equity experience or 1-3 years Financial Services experience

● Level 3 (Fund Accountant): 2-3 years’ Hedge Fund or Private Equity related experience or 3-5 years in Financial services industry ● Knowledge of Advent Geneva system is preferred.
