Your Role

As an AU Senior Bookkeeper, you are responsible for:

  • Manage Reconcile email to reconcile credit card transactions, assign to a project & action emails daily.
  • Manage Admin email and action emails daily.
  • Admin email receives invoices that need to be linked and processed monthly in each respective Xero file
  • Manage ASIC payments for all companies/entities
  • Assistance with BAS in drive
  • Assisting the Project Manager in data collection for cashflow projection
  • Accounts payable for other non-trading entities
  • Reconciling trading entities via Xero accounts
  • Reconciling other entities
  • Xero Audits - Reconciling & actioning meeting minutes
  • Bank statements for all entities: save in drive and update spreadsheet
  • Bank transfers & Loan Repayments - Ensure enough funds in direct debit account, otherwise advise MD
  • Other admin related tasks
  • Payroll Management
  • Assisting in drafting up Purchase Orders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Australian accounting, including bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Someone with Xero experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel (including formulas, lookups and pivot tables)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and able to identify, investigate and resolve variances independently.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in an offshore setting with limited supervision if needed
  • Demonstrated reliability, including excellent attendance and punctuality
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and precision in all aspects of work
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Preference is someone with experience working in an Australian Construction company
  • BAS experience is nice to have
