About the role
We are looking for a hands-on analytics leader with a strong commercial mindset to build and lead analytics for our rapidly developing Leasing & New Car business area at mobile.de. Making our leasing offering the market leader for consumers and dealers is one of the biggest bets we are making as a company. You will set up a new, small analytics team and get into the data yourself, bringing together product, marketing, and sales performance into one consolidated view of what drives growth and where the next opportunity lies. You will be instrumental in shaping our strategy and driving real business impact in one of the most exciting areas at mobile.de.
What you'll do
- Own Leasing & New Car analytics end-to-end: build the area from the ground up, define and drive the roadmap with business leads, and take accountability for the quality and impact of its delivery.
- Drive performance and commercial decisions: dig into the data yourself to understand what drives performance across consumer and dealer journeys, and turn those insights into clear commercial decisions that grow the business profitably.
- Shape Leasing & New Car strategy: as a core voice in the leadership team, bring thought leadership and a data-led view of priorities and growth bets, contributing directly to where the business goes next.
- Consolidate insights across functions: bring the analytical work from Product, Marketing, and Sales together into one consistent and commercially grounded story for leadership.
- Establish the Leasing & New Car analytics team: bring the analysts together into a new, engaged, high-performing team, create career development pathways, and care for their growth.
- Build self-service analytics: empower your stakeholders to answer routine questions and run their own deep dives independently. We are pushing AI hard across the function, so you will not only build standardised dashboards but also help embed AI-assisted analysis and tooling to make self-service faster and more scalable.
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering: work side by side to build scalable, decision-ready data solutions to move the area from reactive reporting to proactive steering.
Who you are
- You bring 7+ years of experience in analytics, ideally in a tech environment and dual-sided marketplaces.
- You combine strategic thinking with a sharp analytical mind, attention to detail, and strong hands-on problem-solving skills.
- You have strong SQL skills and are comfortable working with large, complex datasets in modern data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery).
- You have experience with experimentation and foundations in inferential statistics, especially the dos and don’ts of hypothesis testing.
- You build clear dashboards and reports with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience with AI-assisted self-service analytics is a plus.
- You have experience leading analytics teams, and you enjoy developing people.
- You communicate complex analyses as clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders, and you can defend your methodology under scrutiny.
- You have experience with forecasting and predictive analyses, and you know how to use them to inform planning and decisions.
- As a very strong plus, you bring analytics engineering experience, such as dbt, data modelling, and data quality testing.
