Business Development Director Modern Engineering Pte. Ltd. | Singapore | Full-time

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead business growth across our construction, electrical, solar PV, CCTV, access control, networking and digital signage services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify new project opportunities and build relationships with developers, main contractors, consultants, property managers and business owners.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, proposals, tender submissions and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers, subcontractors and technology providers.
  • Work with estimating and project teams to prepare competitive quotations, confirm project scope and ensure a smooth handover after contract award.
  • Review pricing, project margins, payment terms and commercial risks before committing to contracts.
  • Manage key accounts, support payment follow-ups and develop repeat business.
  • Monitor market opportunities and report sales pipelines, forecasts and business performance to company management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Substantial business development experience in construction, electrical, renewable energy, security systems or related technical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure projects, negotiate contracts and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Experience leading business development activities and meeting revenue targets.
  • Ability to understand technical scopes, tender requirements, project costing and commercial terms.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and organisational skills.
  • An established network within Singapore’s construction or building services industry would be an advantage.
