The posting

Overview

Launch your graduate career with Montagu Evans as a Graduate Historic Environment & Townscape Adviser!

Montagu Evans is a UK property consultancy that helps clients unlock value from complexity, because that’s where the most meaningful opportunities live.

Our purpose is to bring clarity, creativity, and conviction to the complex. We are experts who collaborate to create value, not just preserve it and our team is built for impact, not oversight.

We specialise in high-value, complex assets across the property lifecycle, where political, technical or commercial challenges demand a joined-up approach.

The Team

Our Historic Environment and Townscape team is an established, market‑leading practice with over 20 years’ experience delivering some of the UK’s most high‑profile and complex projects. Our portfolio includes nationally significant schemes such as the British Museum, Earls Court, the National Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre, and Smithfield in Birmingham. We are known for taking on challenging projects where deep expertise, sound judgement and a rigorous planning approach are essential to success.

We operate as a national practice, advising a wide and varied client base including leading developers, educational institutions, charities and cultural organisations, government bodies and the NHS. Our work spans all sectors and scales, giving our team exposure to an exceptional range of projects and planning environments.

Role Overview Our two-year Graduate Programme is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working directly alongside our Partners and other senior colleagues across the business. From day one, your team will value your perspective, give you real responsibility and rely on your contribution. Over the course of your training, your knowledge, skills and experience will grow, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career with us.

The structured training programme will allow you to gain experience across a range of projects and clients with comprehensive support from peers and mentors. You will be exposed to some of the largest commercial, residential and mixed-use property projects in the UK today, as well as interesting and complex smaller projects in the historic environment. We encourage all of our Graduates to explore, question and collaborate across the business.

With a keen interest and awareness of property news, the industry and the current market, you will be able to demonstrate a great understanding of how you apply what you have learnt at university to real development matters.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
