The posting

Job description

MPLC provides a legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe. Our business has been running for over 30 years, and we are the number one trusted partner to studios and producers for public performance licensing. We work with every major Hollywood studio and hundreds of independents, and we are a key player in the entertainment and intellectual property ecosystem.

We are on a truly exciting journey as a company. We're growing quickly, investing in our teams, and have bold plans for the future. To support that growth, we're looking for two Business Technology Consultants to join our growing IT team.

The Role in Two Bullet Points

  • Take business problems from a vague request to a working, adopted solution.
  • Hands-on systems, automation and AI delivery across Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Revenue, Finance, Royalties and Marketing.

If you need a bit more information...

We are hiring two complementary generalists who get things done. Each has broad practical technology skills and end-to-end ownership: work out what is really needed, choose the simplest thing that will work, configure or build it, and make sure people use it. Some weeks that means automating a manual process; others it means connecting two systems, fixing a report nobody trusts, or running a small project end to end. Specialist partners handle the deep platform work. Your job is to make sure the work actually ships. What you will do

  • Shape problems: map how things work today, find the real requirement and challenge it where it needs challenging.
  • Choose solutions: configuration, an existing tool, an integration, code or a partner, picking what gives the most value soonest.
  • Integrate: build small integrations and improve the ones we have, so data moves reliably between Salesforce, Sage, YayPay, Snowflake and our other tools.
  • Automate: workflows, manual steps and reports, using low-code and AI tools to move fast and checking their output carefully.
  • Ship safely: test, document and hand over to support, so nothing depends on you to keep running.
  • Land the change: plan training and communication, and follow up until the old way stops.

You'll love this role if...

  • You have personally taken business problems from request to adopted solution, more than once, including outside your main platform.
  • You have built or improved integrations between business systems: REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, field mapping, matching and error handling, using integration or workflow tools.
  • You are comfortable with SQL and data, and with low-code automation. Scripting or coding is a plus, not a requirement.
  • You use AI tools to analyse, prototype and build, and check their output before it is used. You take responsibility for the quality and safety of what ships.
  • You understand data: IDs, duplicates, sync and what makes a number trustworthy.
  • You work directly with non-technical colleagues, challenge confidently and explain simply.
  • You care about production discipline: version control, testing, security and documentation.

Nice to have: Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, Snowflake, Sage or HubSpot; experience in a consultancy, a scale-up or a small internal systems team where you wore several hats.

Let's be honest!

This is a small team with big aspirations, and a rare chance to reshape how a growing business runs on technology. It is also a role where you are expected to own the outcome, not just the idea.

This role is not for: people who prefer to write the requirement and hand it to someone else to build; specialists who want to work on one platform only; or anyone who needs a project manager to tell them what to do next.

Job benefits

  • Salary between £65,000 and £80,000 depending on experience
  • Remote role with occasional travel
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare including optical and dental cover and an online GP service
  • Life insurance

Salary range

65,000 – 80,000 GBP Annual

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
