Join MSIG Specialty Marine and help shape our digital workplace!

Technology plays a central role in how our people connect, collaborate and work effectively. We are looking for a Digital Workplace Engineer to join our IT team and help deliver a secure, reliable and seamless workplace technology experience across the organisation.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role combining strong technical expertise with a genuine focus on user experience. You will work across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Windows 365, endpoint management and collaboration technologies, providing day-to-day support while helping us continuously improve our digital workplace.

You will work closely with colleagues across the business, the wider IT function and external technology partners, taking ownership of technical issues and contributing to deployments, automation, service improvements and the ongoing evolution of the employee technology experience.

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Professional fluency in both French and English. This is a mandatory prerequisite for the role.
  • Ideally 3 to 5 years' experience within Digital Workplace, End User Computing, Desktop Support, Workplace Technology or a comparable enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, device provisioning and identity/access administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems and workplace applications.
  • The confidence to work directly with business users and provide responsive support to senior and business-critical stakeholders.

Please note: As the role requires regular communication and support in both languages, candidates must be professionally fluent in both French and English.

The role

As Digital Workplace Engineer, you will be a key connection point between IT and the business, providing both onsite and remote support while helping to develop and improve our modern workplace environment.

You will take ownership of technical issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution, support the lifecycle of workplace devices and services, and ensure colleagues have the tools and support they need to work effectively and securely.

Beyond day-to-day support, you will contribute to technology rollouts, automation, service improvement initiatives and the continued development of our digital employee experience.

What you'll be doing

Supporting our colleagues

  • Provide high-quality onsite and remote support for workplace technology incidents and service requests.
  • Act as a trusted IT contact for users, including senior and business-critical stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system and application issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Take ownership of issues through to resolution, keeping users informed throughout.
  • Provide effective user support and communication in both French and English.

Managing devices and endpoints

  • Deploy, configure and maintain Windows 11 devices and workplace technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Intune-managed endpoints and Windows Autopilot deployments.
  • Manage device onboarding, refresh, replacement and retirement.
  • Maintain endpoint security, compliance and configuration standards.
  • Support accurate IT asset and inventory management.

Microsoft 365 and collaboration

  • Support Microsoft Teams, collaboration services and meeting-room technologies.
  • Assist with user provisioning, access requests and licence administration.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration services.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new Microsoft 365 capabilities and workplace technologies.

Supporting the employee lifecycle

  • Deliver a smooth technology onboarding experience for new colleagues.
  • Prepare and deploy laptops, devices and workplace equipment.
  • Support internal moves and role changes.
  • Ensure leavers are processed securely and in line with asset-management procedures.

Keeping our workplace connected

  • Support meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment and hybrid collaboration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting meetings and presentations.
  • Carry out routine checks to keep workplace technology operating effectively.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors and support partners where required.

Security and continuous improvement

  • Support endpoint compliance, vulnerability remediation and workplace security initiatives.
  • Follow and help maintain security, operational and service-management standards.
  • Identify recurring issues and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Analyse service trends and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.
  • Support technology pilots, testing and deployments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guidance and knowledge articles.

Technical experience

We are particularly interested in experience across:

  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Intune

  • Windows 365 Cloud PCs or comparable cloud-managed workplace technologies
  • Endpoint security, compliance, patching and configuration
  • Meeting-room, audiovisual and hybrid collaboration technologies
  • Device lifecycle and IT asset management
  • Joiner, Mover and Leaver processes
  • ITSM platforms and ITIL-aligned Incident, Request, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management
  • Multi-location and hybrid-working environments
  • Managed service providers, vendors and external technology partners

What will help you succeed

You are likely to thrive in this role if you are:

  • Customer-focused: you enjoy helping people and take ownership through to resolution.
  • Technically curious: you enjoy troubleshooting, understanding root causes and finding better solutions.
  • A confident communicator: you can explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences in French and English.
  • Proactive: you look beyond the immediate issue and identify opportunities to improve services.
  • Organised and dependable: you can manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Collaborative: you enjoy working across IT, the wider business and external partners.
  • Calm under pressure: you can prioritise effectively when dealing with urgent or business-critical issues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
