Location: Bluffs, IllinoisSalary Range: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00   We are seeking a driven Human Resources Generalist who is passionate about people, skilled at problem-solving, and able to foster an environment where excellence thrives. This individual will be responsible for managing the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs, and carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits, compensation, compliance, and safety. This position will collaborate frequently with our company-wide HR team. Join our team and grow with us!   COMPANY DESCRIPTION Westermeyer Industries designs, manufactures, and distributes high-quality components and accessories for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Products include pressure vessels such as oil separators, receivers, accumulators, oil filters, condensers, and evaporators, as well as level and pressure detection devices and a range of replacement parts. More than a supplier, Westermeyer Industries is dedicated to engineering creativity and design ingenuity, offering catalog products and custom solutions alike.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS

Forge a strong partnership with the plant manager, aligning HR initiatives with the operational goals and priorities of the plant. Together, you’ll develop strategies that maximize efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement.

Cultivate an inclusive workplace culture, championing inclusion and fairness to create an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. Partner with supervisors to develop goals, implement measurement systems, and communicate performance expectations for employees. You’ll have the opportunity to ensure that every team member knows exactly what they’re working towards and why it matters. Interpret HR policies regarding employee discipline, absences, tardiness, etc., and guide both managers and employees through difficult conversations with empathy and compassion. You will ensure that every decision is made with fairness, transparency, and respect for all parties involved. Orchestrate employee recognition programs and plan employee engagement initiatives. You will be the driving force behind our vibrant workplace community. Organize local projects and initiatives that showcase our company values and make a positive impact in the communities where our employees live and work. Collaborate with the leadership team to conduct onsite interviews and assist in essential hiring decisions that will shape our future. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of attracting top-notch talent to our team. Conduct new employee orientations. You will be the friendly face that greets our new employees, making them feel at home and excited to join the team. Maintain accurate, detailed employee records while ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, including SOX audit requirements. Utilize our HRIS to maximize efficiency and accuracy through continuous improvement in paperless, technology-driven recordkeeping and HR processes. Process bi-weekly payroll. Conduct exit interviews and handle out-processing records, including payroll. You believe every interaction is an opportunity for learning and improvement, including an employee’s exit from our company. Oversee and maintain a culture of compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including unemployment and workers' compensation claim handling. You will become the guardian of our commitment to equality, safety, and compliance.
