We're looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Booth Teller to join our Botswana team. If you enjoy helping people, have a passion for service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service

  • Welcome customers and assist them with remittance transactions.
  • Help customers complete required forms and understand Mukuru's products and services.
  • Create a positive and professional customer experience with every interaction.

Process Transactions with Accuracy

  • Perform KYC checks and verify customer documentation.
  • Process inbound and outbound transactions accurately.
  • Verify and handle cash responsibly, ensuring all transactions comply with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor transaction limits according to central bank regulations.

Protect Our Customers and Business

  • Identify and escalate suspicious transactions.
  • Support customers with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements when necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of compliance, security, and risk awareness.
  • Conduct daily security checks and safeguard company assets.

Keep Operations Running Smoothly

  • Perform daily cash balancing and cash-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ensure the booth is clean, secure, and ready for business every day.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support seamless operations.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the financial services sector.

Skills That Will Set You Apart

  • Excellent numeracy and cash-handling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Knowledge of KYC/FICA requirements and financial compliance processes.
  • Understanding of foreign currency transactions will be advantageous.
