Our Rochester Operation is one of our largest operations and offers team members the opportunity to learn a specialized manufacturing trade while building a long-term career.   We are currently hiring Pressroom General Workers for 3rd shift.   Please Note: Our West Henrietta location is not accessible by bus line. Reliable transportation is required.  

Pay & Benefits Starting Pay- $20.26 per hour

Shift Differential 3rd shift +$1.85 per hour

Why This Role Is Different Most manufacturing jobs teach you how to run a machine. -- This position teaches you a trade.   The Pressroom General Worker role is designed to develop future Press Operators. You'll work directly with printing presses and learn the skills needed to advance into higher-level manufacturing positions. Many of our skilled operators started in entry-level roles just like this one!

What You'll Do As a Pressroom General Worker, you'll support the operation of flexographic printing presses while learning the printing process from experienced operators. Responsibilities include:

Assist press operators during production runs Prepare inks, coatings, and press materials Monitor coating viscosity and production quality Inspect printed materials for defects and quality standards Help with press wash-ups and changeovers Maintain material levels throughout production Remove waste and keep work areas organized Support safety, quality, and production goals Learn machine operation and advanced production processes Perform general manufacturing and production support activities

  What We're Looking For You do not need printing experience to be successful in this role. We're looking for individuals who:

Want to learn a skilled manufacturing trade Have a strong work ethic and dependable attendance Enjoy hands-on work Work well in a team environment Are eager to learn and develop new skills Can follow instructions and maintain quality standards

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required Printing experience is a plus but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Self-motivated and dependable

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout the production area for extended periods Frequent walking throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to safely work around production equipment and moving machinery Ability to perform physical activities including reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting

Vision Requirements

Vision correctable to 20/20 Ability to distinguish colors Ability to perform detailed quality inspections
