Working within the Climate and Environment Resilience team, you will develop, coordinate and deliver a range of sustainability programs and projects that help reduce community carbon emissions and support the Moonee Valley community to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

You will work collaboratively with internal teams, community groups, businesses and regional partners, providing specialist advice and practical support to embed sustainability principles into Council operations, projects and decision-making. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes and help deliver Council's strategic climate and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver community-focused sustainability programs and initiatives that reduce carbon emissions and build resilience to climate change.
  • Support the delivery of Council's community carbon emissions reduction program, Let's Go Zero Moonee Valley.
  • Provide specialist sustainability advice and support to internal teams, community groups, businesses and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across Council to embed environmental sustainability and climate response solutions into service delivery, infrastructure planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate and contribute to cross-functional and regional projects, working with external partners to achieve shared environmental and climate outcomes.

  • Manage projects and engage consultants and contractors to ensure agreed objectives, budgets and timeframes are achieved.

  • You will have highly developed communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex environmental issues to a range of audiences and influence positive outcomes.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills are essential, including the ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across teams and deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
