The posting

Lambda-X Ophthalmics designs high-precision optical instruments and advanced software to characterize the performance of ophthalmic lenses.

The company operates with a small, dynamic, and multicultural team where collaboration and technical excellence translate into tangible innovation.

Based in Nivelles, Lambda-X combines optics, software engineering, and scientific rigor to create cutting-edge solutions that help the world see better.

The Role

Lambda-X Ophthalmics is seeking a curious, thoughtful, and rigorous Full-Stack Developer with solid experience in C#/.NET and Angular, and some knowledge of Python, to strengthen its software team.

The developer will help design, build, and maintain applications that control measurement instruments, process data, and visualize complex results.

This work directly contributes to the accuracy, reliability, and usability of Lambda-X’s ophthalmic instruments.

This position suits someone who enjoys understanding how things work — not just writing code that runs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain modern, efficient Angular front-end applications.
  • Build and optimize robust back-end APIs and services in C#/.NET.
  • Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions within the software team.
  • Support the improvement of automated QA and test frameworks — experience with Python and Playwright (or similar tools) is a plus.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory Skills & Qualities

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with C# and .NET (strong back-end orientation).
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of Angular (latest versions).
  • A structured and analytical mindset, capable of understanding and solving complex technical problems.
  • Autonomy and the ability to self-manage while collaborating within a small team.
  • Fluency in English and French (working language).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python and Playwright, or similar tools for end-to-end automated testing.
  • Familiarity with test frameworks or non-regression testing environments.
  • Experience with data-driven or scientific applications.

Why Join Lambda-X Ophthalmics

At Lambda-X, developers do not simply code features — they shape real-world instruments and applications used in precision optics and medical contexts worldwide.

The company offers a close-knit team environment where ideas matter, discussions are open, and each contributor can see the direct impact of their work.

This position offers the opportunity to face stimulating challenges that require both technical depth and creative thinking, in an environment that fosters growth and innovation.

Additional advantages include:

  • Work with a modern stack (.NET, Angular, and more) in a clean, evolving architecture.
  • Learn from talented peers, tackle challenging projects, and continuously develop new skills.
  • Hybrid work model and comfortable offices in an easily accessible area (Nivelles Nord).
  • Attractive package with a competitive salary and benefits.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: Angular
  • Backend: C# / .NET
  • Testing: Internal frameworks, Python, Playwright (optional)
  • Tools & Environment: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Windows environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
