oversees daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct regular site inspections, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and verify compliance with building codes. [1, 2]
- Workforce Management: Assign daily tasks, manage crew schedules, supervise subcontractors, and monitor worker performance.
- Materials and Logistics: Track inventory, order building materials and equipment, and coordinate on-site deliveries.
- Quality Control: Inspect work at critical phases to ensure it matches engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Reporting and Comunication: Maintain daily logs, write progress reports, and communicate project status to project managers and stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or business is preferred.
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience in the construction industry and previous leadership or trade experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, verbal communication, and ability to read blueprints.
- Certifications: Valid driver's license, safety certifications
