The posting

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 7-Eleven outlet. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining smooth store operations, delivering good customer service, managing inventory and supporting the store in achieving its sales targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform cashiering duties and handle customer transactions accurately.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Manage daily store operations and ensure the store runs smoothly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for merchandise and supplies when required.
  • Receive, check and arrange incoming stock.
  • Conduct regular expiry-date checks and ensure expired or damaged products are removed promptly.
  • Maintain proper product rotation using FIFO principles where applicable.
  • Ensure shelves are properly stocked, organised and attractively displayed.
  • Maintain 7-Eleven store standards, including cleanliness, merchandising and overall store presentation.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly store documentation and administrative records accurately.
  • Perform stock checks and assist with inventory control.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve store sales.
  • Implement promotions, product displays and other sales initiatives to increase store revenue.
  • Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products and adjust ordering accordingly.
  • Minimise stock losses, wastage and discrepancies.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve basic customer service issues.
  • Supervise and guide store staff in carrying out their daily duties.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower coverage where required.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, workplace safety requirements and store operating guidelines.
  • Carry out any other store-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in retail, convenience store, supermarket, F&B or similar customer-facing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in store operations or supervisory duties will be an advantage.
  • Able to handle cashiering, stock ordering and basic administrative work.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
  • Able to lead and work together with a small retail team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Able to carry out physical retail duties such as stocking shelves and handling merchandise.
