ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a Singapore-based accounting and tax outsourcing firm. We are looking for an Accounts & Tax Associate to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate and timely year-end accounts preparation, tax compliance, and XBRL filing services. You will work closely with clients across various industries to ensure all statutory obligations are met in accordance with Singapore regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Preparation, Corporate Tax & XBRL Filing

• Compile and prepare full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL) for multiple clients on a yearly basis, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and year-end adjustments

• Perform bank reconciliations, reconcile balance sheet items, and maintain fixed asset registers (including depreciation)

• Prepare financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with SFRS, and compile supporting schedules and working papers for audit

• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit engagement on behalf of clients

• Prepare annual corporate tax computations, file Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and prepare and submit Form C / Form C-S / Form C-S Lite to IRAS

• Apply relevant capital allowances, tax incentives, and deductions, and monitor taxpayment due dates

• Prepare, tag, and submit XBRL financial statements to ACRA via Biz File+ (full or simplified XBRL), and assist in preparation and lodgement of annual returns

• Maintain client financial records in accordance with IRAS retention requirements, and support CPF contributions reconciliation and payroll-related accounting entries

GST Compliance

• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns (F5/F7) accurately and on time via the IRAS my Tax Portal

• Maintain and reconcile GST records for input and output tax claims, and handle GST queries and correspondence with IRAS

• Advise clients on GST registration obligations and compliance requirements where applicable

Client Communication

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients on all accounting and tax matters, including liaising with IRAS, ACRA, CPF Board, and other government agencies on their behalf

• Follow up with clients to obtain necessary documents within agreed timelines, respond to queries promptly, and flag irregularities or outstanding matters to management in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

Education &Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline

• Studying towards or holding ACCA / CPA is an advantage

Experience & Skills

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in an accounting firm, audit, or outsourcing environment in Singapore

• Exposure to handling full sets of accounts for multiple clients is a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with GST filing, corporate tax (Form C/C-S) preparation, the IRAS my Tax Portal, and ACRA Biz File+ is an advantage

• Working knowledge of SFRS, the GST Act, and the Income Tax Act (Singapore) is a plus

• Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and XBRL filing is an advantage

• Good communication skills and a client-oriented mindset

• Meticulous, reliable, and able to work independently
