Our client is a renowned European-listed MNC in the luxury home appliance sector. The company is a well-established market leader and a recognised household name, with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and premium products.
The company’s office is conveniently located approximately two bus stops from Tiong Bahru MRT station. Employees work 100% from the office, fostering a collaborative and engaging working environment.
This is a full-time and permanent role. This is a dual coverage role:
-around 50% on HR and admin (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and
-around 50% on accounting ( for the Thailand books only)
For the HR aspect, it will support a Singapore office of around 30 staff and another 8 staff in 2 overseas offices in Vietnam and Thailand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTING (around 50% of the time):
• Handle the full set of accounts for the Thailand entity independently
• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records
• Prepare and post accounting entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
• Prepare monthly closing and financial reports accurately and on time
• Prepare VAT, withholding tax and other statutory tax filings in accordance with Thailand requirements, including submissions through relevant Thai government portals/systems
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks and relevant authorities
• Support annual audit and corporate income tax filing
• Assist with cash planning, working capital monitoring and ad-hoc finance reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting information required by the SEA Finance Director and HQ
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, internal controls and local statutory requirements
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation for audit purposes
•Process or coordinate statutory and government payments and ensure submissions and payments are completed by the required deadlines
HR AND ADMIN (around 50% of the time):
• Manage full spectrum of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance matters, and offboarding. Will support 30+ staff in Singapore, 4 in Thailand and 4 in Vietnam for this HR function
• Handle end-to-end monthly payroll, including senior management payroll, bonuses and confidential remuneration information for the Singapore office. For the overseas office, you will work with external payroll vendors.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand employment and statutory payroll requirements.
• Manage day-to-day office administration, vendors and office operations, ensuring the Managing Director is well supported in the smooth running of the office.
• Provide executive and administrative support to the Managing Director as an integral part of the Office Manager role, including calendar and meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, administrative follow-ups and other business support as required.
• Handle confidential HR, payroll and management matters with strict discretion.
• Support a positive, professional and low-politics workplace culture.
• Work on some office admin functions as directed by regional MD
Key Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting. In addition, an HR certification/degree is also required for this role
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant HR and accounting experience. Has both accounting experience doing month end close and HR generalist experience.
• Added exposure doing the accounts for a Thailand entity is preferred (but not a must)
• Proven hands-on payroll experience managing end-to-end payroll for 30 to 40-person organizations.
• Prior experience handling payroll and confidential remuneration information for senior management/management-level employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive compensation data.
• Good working knowledge of Singapore employment practices, statutory payroll requirements and the Employment Act.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and general HR administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional discretion.
• Mature, trustworthy, discreet and able to handle highly confidential information.
• Professional and work-focused (i.e. not engaging in office politics)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable supporting the MD as a trusted administrative partner and handling both business and occasional personal administrative matters with discretion.
• Hands-on, flexible, and willing to take ownership beyond a traditional HR role (as this role covers office admin and some EA work).
• People-oriented, dependable, and solutions-focused. Very adaptable and flexible.
• Open to working 100% in the office (2 bus stops away from Tiong Bahru MRT station)
