Job Summary

Manage accounting and tax portfolios by preparing accounts, submitting GST filings, handling payroll, and advising clients on tax matters to ensure compliance and timely submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare full or partial sets of accounts within deadlines to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Submit GST filings punctually to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and administer accounting matters for a diverse portfolio of clients to support their financial operations
  • Manage individual and corporate tax client portfolios by meeting client expectations and delivering timely tax services
  • Prepare and submit Estimated Chargeable Income for corporate clients to meet filing deadlines
  • Prepare and submit Income Tax Returns, including tax return forms and computations, ensuring timely compliance
  • Address queries from the Comptroller of Income Tax on behalf of clients to resolve tax issues efficiently
  • Advise clients on Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, and Cross Border Transactions to support informed decision-making
  • Execute full payroll functions for clients, including monthly CPF contributions and IR8A tax submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Provide support for ad-hoc assignments to meet evolving client needs and business demands

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore Income Tax Act and Singapore Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act and related regulations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through effective client interactions
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills applied to resolve tax and accounting issues
  • Meticulous and organized approach with demonstrated initiative in managing tasks
  • Positive work attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
