Job Summary
Join our Finance & Accounts team as an Accounts Assistant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant qualifications are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Process day-to-day accounting and finance administrative tasks to support smooth operations
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents following company policies
- Verify invoices against supporting documents and obtain necessary approvals to ensure compliance
- Enter financial data accurately into the accounting system to maintain up-to-date records
- Assist with bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments and support accounts receivable collection efforts
- Prepare payments to suppliers and process business expenses timely and accurately
- Maintain organized filing and documentation of financial and accounting records for easy retrieval
- Support monthly closing activities and assist in preparing financial reports for management review
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for internal and external audits
- Assist with GST-related documentation and submissions as needed to comply with regulations
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, banks, and internal departments to resolve accounting and payment issues
- Ensure all accounting records comply with company policies and Singapore regulatory requirements
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Accountant
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting practices and GST regulations
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills applied to accounting tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing and documentation
- Good organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with stakeholders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and company information
