The Event Experience

Love numbers, keeping things organised, and occasionally jumping into the excitement of events? You might be the person we’re looking for!

At The Event Experience, no two days are quite the same. One day you may be reconciling GST and processing claims, and another day you could be helping the team prepare for an event!

We’re looking for a reliable and organised Admin & Accounts Executive to help keep our accounts, paperwork and office running smoothly basically, the person who helps make sure everything behind the scenes adds up!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handle basic bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Perform GST reconciliation
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns
  • Process and keep track of staff claims and reimbursements
  • Assist with supplier invoices, payments and payment records
  • Assist with monthly payroll / salary processing
  • Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, quotations and financial documents
  • Help monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with general office administration and documentation
  • Support the team with ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Occasionally assist with event preparation, packing, registration, logistics or onsite event support when an extra pair of hands is needed

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll probably enjoy this role if you are:

  • Comfortable with numbers and have basic bookkeeping/accounting knowledge
  • Familiar with Singapore GST requirements and quarterly GST submission
  • Organized and good at keeping records in order
  • Comfortable using Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software
  • Responsible when handling confidential information such as salaries and company accounts
  • Able to work independently and follow through on tasks
  • Detail-oriented, because sometimes $10.00 and $100.00 make a very big difference!
  • Happy to help out beyond your usual desk duties when the event team needs support
  • Positive, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-moving events environment

What Life at The Event Experience Is Like

We’re an events company, so expect something a little different from a traditional accounting office.

There will be spreadsheets, invoices and GST submissions but there may also be event props in the office, last-minute printouts, exciting event setups and the occasional “Can help us with this for five minutes?” moment.
