Job Responsibilities

AI Development & Innovation

  1. Develop and apply AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents and automation tools, to solve problems in design and construction management.
  2. Monitor the latest developments in AI and identify new tools, technologies and applications that can improve the Company's engineering and project management processes.
  3. Support the Company's AI adoption in alignment with relevant government initiatives and recommended AI use cases for the built environment sector, including those promoted by BCA.
  4. Conduct research and prepare proposals, reports and presentations on AI applications in design and construction management, and regularly update the Project/PA team and Management on progress and findings.

Engineering & Project Applications

  1. Support the PA team in day-to-day activities, including engineering research, design and project management.
  2. Participate in design meetings for tender preparation, design development and design optimisation.
  3. Coordinate with relevant authorities, including BCA and LTA, on research, design and technology-related matters.
  4. Develop automated dashboards to analyse project daily reports and support progress tracking, shift comparison and manpower monitoring.
  5. Analyse TBM sensor data using AI to monitor machine performance and identify potential alignment drift or other anomalies at an early stage.
  6. Explore and develop AI solutions to convert design sketches, site records and other project information into 3D models, construction sequences, plans and section views to support design and tender activities.
  7. Apply AI tools to support claim preparation, including linking claim items to relevant supporting documents and project records.
  8. Develop and use AI agents to automate research and reporting activities, including generating research proposals and status reports based on project information and Company standards.
  9. Analyse data and information from completed projects to identify lessons learned and develop relevant training topics and materials for staff.
  10. Explore and implement emerging AI applications recommended for the built environment sector, such as AI-assisted site inspections and progress analytics, and support applications for relevant government grants where applicable.
  11. Develop and implement new AI applications based on business and project needs, including but not limited to the areas described above.

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's degree in Technology, Innovation or a related field will be an advantage.
  2. Experience in developing or implementing AI applications using LLMs, AI agents, automation tools or related technologies.
  3. Programming experience in Python, with knowledge of data analysis, data processing and dashboard development.
  4. Experience with 3D modelling, visualisation or related engineering software will be an advantage.
  5. Ability to understand and work with engineering and construction-related documents, including design reports, contracts, drawings and project/site data.
  6. Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
  7. Ability to explain technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to management and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical AI applications for engineering and construction processes.
  9. Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with engineering, project and management teams.
