The posting

We are looking for Applications Processing & Verification Officers to support the processing and verification of applications for our outsourced social support programmes.

The role involves reviewing application details and supporting documents, following up with applicants for additional information or clarification, and handling enquiries from external stakeholders professionally and empathetically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify application details and supporting documents for assistance schemes.
  • Process applications accurately and in accordance with established procedures and requirements.
  • Handle the printing, mailing, scanning and filing of letters and related documents.
  • Follow up with applicants to obtain additional information or clarification where necessary.
  • Handle calls, enquiries and requests from stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Identify discrepancies and carry out the necessary follow-up with stakeholders.
  • Ensure applications are processed within the required timelines and service standards.
  • Perform data entry & administrative tasks to maintain accurate case records and report preparation.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GCE ‘A’ Level with at least 3 passes, Diploma, or a recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in application processing for social welfare programmes.
  • Experience handling calls and enquiries from stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
