About the Role
Julian Grey's client is looking for an experienced Architectural Drafter / Coordinator with strong hands-on drafting capabilities and practical knowledge of Singapore building regulations and statutory authority submission requirements.
The role involves architectural drawing production, Revit/BIM modelling, authority submission documentation and technical coordination for new building developments and Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects and consultants, supporting projects from preliminary design through authority submissions, construction and as-built documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural drawings and Revit/BIM models from sketches, preliminary designs and existing CAD files.
- Produce architectural plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules for authority submissions, tender, construction and as-built stages.
- Prepare and coordinate statutory submission drawings and supporting documentation for URA, BCA, SCDF and other relevant authorities.
- Apply relevant Singapore building codes, development control guidelines, fire safety requirements and authority drawing standards.
- Prepare preliminary regulatory calculations and schedules, including GFA, occupant load, means of escape, carpark provisions and greenery requirements, for architect/QP review.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with C&S, M&E and other consultant information.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, potential compliance issues and coordination clashes for resolution by the project architect.
- Prepare drawing amendments and supporting documentation in response to authority comments.
- Support CORENET X submissions, BIM coordination and clash detection where required.
- Maintain drawing accuracy, documentation standards and revision control.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
- Proven experience preparing architectural authority submission drawings.
- Strong practical knowledge of URA, BCA and SCDF requirements.
- Working knowledge of JTC, LTA, NEA, PUB and NParks requirements.
- Familiarity with Singapore building codes, fire safety regulations and accessibility requirements.
- Experience with new building developments and A&A projects.
- Ability to interpret authority requirements and translate them into accurate architectural drawings.
- Ability to work independently under the direction of project architects.
Advantageous Experience
- Experience with industrial, commercial, institutional or residential developments.
- Familiarity with CORENET X, BIM coordination and clash detection.
