Oversee the safe assembly, modification, and dismantling of tubular, system, and mobile scaffolding structures.
Perform regular inspections of scaffold components (standards, ledgers, transoms, couplers, and boards) before and during use. Conduct daily Tool Box Talks (TBT) and review Job Safety Analyses (JSA) / Risk Assessments with the crew.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, working at heights protocols, and local safety laws.
Enforce proper use of Fall Arrest Systems (harnesses, lanyards), PPE, and secure tag systems (Scafftag - Red/Green). Track inventory of scaffolding materials on-site, reporting shortages, damage, or defective equipment.
Organize material staging areas to maintain clean, hazard-free work zones.
Coordinate with logistics and rigging crews for safe hoisting and transport of heavy scaffolding components. Ensure scaffold erection strictly follows technical drawings, load ratings (Light, Medium, Heavy Duty), and engineering specs.
Inspect foundations, sole plates, base plates, tie-ins, and bracing for stability and structural integrity.
Report any structural deviations or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
