The posting

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Avaloq solutions supporting banking and wealth management operations.
  • Configure and customize Avaloq applications based on functional and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Avaloq components including workflows, forms, validation rules, notifications, and reports.
  • Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and SQL queries supporting application processing.
  • Implement and support Avaloq interfaces and integrations using AMI and file-based mechanisms.
  • Support payment-related application functionality and associated banking message flows.
  • Investigate application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement technical fixes across Avaloq applications.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT, deployments, and post-production support activities.
  • Work with business analysts and functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide development effort estimates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Avaloq development or customization within banking or financial services environments.
  • Strong experience with Avaloq application configuration and development.
  • Experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL for development and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Avaloq Message Interface (AMI) and application integration.
  • Experience working with Avaloq workflows, forms, validations, and notifications.
  • Hands-on experience supporting payment flows involving SWIFT or CHAPS messaging.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and file-processing automation.
  • Experience across development, testing, UAT, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Experience in financial-services processes such as payments, securities, FX, settlement, or corporate actions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Avaloq certification is preferred.
