B2B Business Development Executive – Corporate Training

Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused B2B Business Development Executive to grow our corporate training business.

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging companies, understanding their workforce training needs, and developing long-term corporate accounts for our professional and workforce development programmes.

This is a sales-driven role with performance-based commission and incentives. While the focus is on building lasting corporate relationships, you will also be responsible for achieving agreed sales, revenue and account-development targets.

The objective is not simply to secure one-off training engagements, but to develop companies into recurring corporate accounts that engage us for their workforce training needs throughout the year.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Competitive monthly basic salary
  • Attractive sales commission based on confirmed corporate training revenue
  • Additional performance incentives for achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Opportunity to earn recurring commission/incentives from repeat corporate accounts, subject to the company's incentive structure
  • Performance recognition for new account acquisition and account growth
  • Clear progression opportunities into Senior Business Development, Key Account Management or Corporate Partnerships roles

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be assessed through a combination of sales activity, revenue generation and account development, including:

  • New corporate leads generated
  • Qualified meetings and appointments secured
  • Proposals and quotations submitted
  • New corporate accounts acquired
  • Monthly and quarterly sales revenue
  • Sales target achievement
  • Proposal-to-sale conversion rate
  • Average revenue per corporate account
  • Repeat training revenue
  • Number of active recurring corporate clients
  • Growth of existing corporate accounts
  • Annual training arrangements or longer-term corporate partnerships secured

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Business Development

  • Prospect and identify potential corporate clients across different industries in Singapore.
  • Reach out to HR departments, Learning & Development teams, management and business owners through calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
  • Arrange meetings and consultations with prospective corporate clients.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of B2B opportunities.

Training Needs Consultation

  • Understand each company's business objectives, manpower challenges and employee training requirements.
  • Recommend suitable training programmes based on the company's workforce and development needs.
  • Work with internal curriculum and training teams to propose relevant programmes or customised training solutions where required.
  • Assist companies in planning their annual or periodic employee training calendar.

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Develop long-term relationships with corporate clients instead of focusing solely on one-off transactions.
  • Manage assigned corporate accounts and maintain regular engagement with key decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat training, additional departments, new programmes and annual training arrangements.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews and follow up with clients after programme completion.
  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction and encourage referrals and repeat business.

Proposal & Sales Management

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, programme recommendations and corporate training packages.
  • Present training solutions professionally to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and follow through from initial enquiry to confirmation.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and training teams to ensure smooth programme delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, proposals, follow-ups and confirmed sales in the company's CRM or sales tracking system.

Market Development

  • Identify industries and companies with strong workforce training potential.
  • Develop partnerships with companies, industry associations and business communities.
  • Attend networking sessions, trade events, business meetings and corporate outreach activities where relevant.
  • Gather feedback and market intelligence on corporate training needs, competitors and emerging workforce skills.

Performance Indicators

Performance may be measured through indicators such as:

  • New companies contacted and qualified
  • Corporate meetings secured
  • Proposals and quotations submitted
  • New corporate accounts acquired
  • Monthly corporate training revenue
  • Proposal-to-sale conversion rate
  • Repeat business from existing clients
  • Number of active corporate accounts
  • Annual training agreements or recurring accounts secured
  • Client retention and account growth

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Communications or a related discipline.
  • Experience in B2B sales, corporate sales, business development, recruitment, training, education or HR-related services is advantageous.
  • Comfortable speaking with HR professionals, managers, directors and business owners.
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident in cold calling, prospecting and approaching new companies.
  • Able to understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions rather than relying on hard-selling.
  • Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working towards sales targets.
  • Good follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple corporate accounts and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with SkillsFuture Singapore, WSQ programmes, enterprise training or government-supported training initiatives will be an advantage.

Who We Are Looking For

You may be suitable for this position if you enjoy:

  • Meeting and speaking with business decision-makers
  • Building professional relationships over time
  • Developing your own portfolio of corporate clients
  • Understanding businesses and recommending solutions
  • Working towards measurable sales and account-development goals
  • Turning new companies into long-term recurring customers

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand that successful B2B sales is not only about closing the first deal — it is about becoming a trusted partner whom clients return to whenever their organisation has new training needs.

Career Development

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their own portfolio of corporate accounts and progress towards senior business development, key account management or corporate partnerships roles as the business grows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
