The posting

Join the Monk’s Brew Club Crew ☕️

At Monk’s Brew Club, we believe a great team is the sum of its members’ experiences.

We’re more than just a café. We’re a contemporary space for conversation, collaboration, productivity and meaningful connections — whether it’s a quiet morning with a great cup of coffee, a productive meeting, or catching up with friends.

We’re looking for a Barista who shares our passion for great coffee, continuous learning and creating memorable experiences for our customers.

Got it — as a job ad, the current copy has good personality, but it’s quite long and repeats the same ideas. I’d make it more concise, polished, and recruitment-focused while keeping Monk’s Brew Club’s warm, collaborative personality.

YOUR ROLE

As a Barista, you’ll be an integral part of our growing team. You’ll work closely with our Head Brewista to deliver consistently excellent espresso, filter coffee and other specialty brews, while bringing your own creativity and ideas to the table.

You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Prepare and serve consistently excellent coffee and beverages
  • Create beautiful latte art and take pride in every cup
  • Learn and refine different brewing techniques and coffee preparation methods
  • Develop a deeper understanding of coffee beans, blends and flavour profiles
  • Operate and maintain coffee equipment to a high standard
  • Learn proper troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Has 4–7 years of barista experience
  • Takes genuine pride in coffee-making and craftsmanship
  • Has a strong interest in specialty coffee and brewing
  • Is eager to learn, experiment and continuously improve
  • Enjoys sharing knowledge and collaborating with others
  • Is detail-oriented and committed to consistency
  • Wants to grow with a fun, dynamic and forward-thinking team

Whether you’re already an experienced barista or looking to take your coffee skills to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT WE OFFER

We believe our people are our family, and we want to invest in their growth.

💰 Competitive, market-leading salary

📈 Annual salary increment, subject to performance

🍽️ Free food & drinks

🎯 6-monthly performance bonus when we hit our targets

☕ On-the-job training and mentorship

🎓 Sponsorship for industry-standard certifications every 12 months, subject to performance

🎉 And, above all else, a lot of fun

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

More applications. More interviews.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
