Position Overview

We are looking for a BIM Modeller to support site engineering projects in a cGMP biotech manufacturing environment. You will create and maintain drawings and 3D models for facilities, utilities and process equipment, and manage the engineering, qualification and project documents that go with them. Working closely with project engineers, facilities, manufacturing and quality teams, you will keep every drawing and document accurate, version-controlled and audit-ready. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable in a regulated environment, and able to support multiple projects at once.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update and maintain 2D CAD drawings and BIM models for facilities, utilities, equipment layouts and P&IDs
  • Coordinate models and drawings across disciplines and flag clashes or discrepancies to the project team
  • Issue drawings and revisions, and keep the drawing register and revision history accurate
  • Prepare as-built drawings and mark-ups following site walkdowns and project completion
  • Manage engineering, qualification and project documents in the document management system, including filing, naming conventions, version control and distribution
  • Review vendor and contractor submittals for document completeness and correct format
  • Archive vendor documentation and handover packages in line with document management SOPs
  • Track document status, approvals and change control records, and follow up on outstanding items
  • Support project teams with drawing queries, document requests and updates for project meetings
  • Ensure drawings and documents meet cGMP and site documentation standards, and are ready for audits

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building/Construction Technology or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, BIM coordination and/or document control, ideally in biotech, pharmaceutical or other regulated industries
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with Revit or other BIM and 3D modelling tools (Navisworks is an advantage)
  • Experience with document management systems and version control processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint. Smartsheet or MS Project is an advantage
  • Familiarity with documentation practices in a cGMP or highly regulated environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of drawing standards, P&IDs and engineering document workflows
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management
  • Good communication skills and able to work with contractors, vendors and internal teams
