We are looking for a Buffet Ambassador to join our team!

Job Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and engage with guests at the buffet, providing attentive, personalised and professional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Introduce and explain the buffet offerings, including signature dishes, live stations, seasonal selections and daily specials, while providing suitable recommendations to guests.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the buffet menu, ingredients, preparation methods and food presentation to confidently respond to guest enquiries.
  • Assist guests with dietary requirements, food allergies and special requests by communicating and coordinating closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage Service teams.
  • Monitor the buffet throughout service to ensure that all food displays are attractive, well presented, properly labelled and maintained according to established standards.
  • Work closely with the Culinary team to ensure timely replenishment of buffet items while maintaining food quality, freshness, temperature and presentation.
  • Ensure that the buffet area remains clean, organised and presentable at all times, with serving utensils, plates and other buffet essentials readily available.
  • Proactively interact with guests, anticipate their needs, gather feedback and assist in resolving enquiries or service concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage Service teams to ensure smooth operations and deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s established standards and procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, grooming, service excellence and workplace safety at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education or a relevant qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage, Culinary or guest-facing hospitality operations, preferably within a luxury hotel, restaurant or buffet dining environment.
  • A culinary background or previous experience as a chef will be an added advantage, particularly due to the role’s emphasis on food knowledge, buffet presentation and interaction with guests.
  • Possess good knowledge and appreciation of food, with the ability to confidently explain dishes, ingredients, preparation methods and buffet offerings to guests.
  • Passionate about delivering warm, engaging and personalised guest experiences with a strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence and ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with both Culinary and Food & Beverage Service teams.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
