The posting

We are seeking a Business System Analyst to support the implementation of treasury back-office system. The role involves working closely with the Lead Business Analyst, Treasury Operations users, Head Office (HO), Implementation team, and Other related department users to deliver system implementation, testing, and data migration activities.

The role covers Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), and Securities in bank back-office operations, with a focus on business requirements, system functionality, operational workflows, data integrity, and implementation readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Support the Lead Business Analyst in the implementation of a Treasury Back-Office system for an international bank.
  • Work closely with Treasury Operations, Head Office (HO), internal IT teams and other stakeholders to gather, clarify and document business requirements.
  • Analyse existing business processes and perform fitgap assessments for FX, Money Market and Securities products, including Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, MM Lending/Borrowing, Bonds and Bills.
  • Analyse product configurations, reference/static data and operational parameters.
  • Prepare and maintain BRDs, functional specifications, requirement traceability documents and issue logs.
  • Functional Analysis & System Integration
  • Investigate functional issues by analysing business scenarios, transaction data, system outputs and interface information.
  • Document findings and coordinate with business users, HO and IT teams to resolve functional and technical queries.
  • Analyse system interfaces, data mappings and integrations.
  • Review interface specifications, field-level mappings, message formats and processing rules to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Testing & Defect Management

  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, expected results and test data for system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Conduct and support UAT activities with business users.
  • Log, track and retest defects, and coordinate their resolution with business and technology teams.
  • Monitor testing progress and support the completion of testing evidence and sign-off documentation.

Data Migration & Validation

  • Support data migration activities, including data review, validation, reconciliation and source-to-target comparison.
  • Participate in migration rehearsals across test and production environments.
  • Validate migrated transactions, balances, reference data and reports.
  • Perform data analysis and investigation using SQL and Excel to identify discrepancies and support resolution.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Track project issues, risks, actions, dependencies and overall delivery progress.
  • Prepare project documentation, status updates and supporting evidence required for review and sign-off.
  • Coordinate across business, Head Office and technology teams to ensure project activities and deliverables remain on track.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Banking, Finance or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a Business Analyst / System Analyst role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional documentation and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on experience in system testing and UAT, including preparation of test scenarios, test cases, expected results and defect tracking.
  • Experience supporting data migration activities, including data validation, reconciliation and source-to-target comparison.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and investigative approach.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, functional and testable specifications.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in relation to data accuracy and system outputs.
  • Effective stakeholder communication and coordination skills across business and technology teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables, track issues and risks, and meet project milestones.
  • Solid ownership of assigned requirements, testing and migration activities.
