Product: Feeling Music – AI Piano Learning &Practice App

About Feeling Music

Feeling Music is an AI-powered piano learning and practice app designed to make piano practice more engaging, effective, and enjoyable.

We work with piano teachers, music studios and piano schools to introduce Feeling Music to students as a companion to their regular piano lessons. As we expand our presence in Singapore and other Asian markets, we are looking for a well-connected and commercially minded individual to help develop our piano education partner network.

The Role

We are looking for a part-time or contract Business Development & Channel Sales professional with knowledge of piano education and strong connections within the piano teaching community.

The primary objective of the role is to identify, engage and develop relationships with piano teachers, independent piano studios and piano schools, encouraging them to introduce and recommend Feeling Music to their students.

This is a relationship-driven sales role rather than a traditional retail sales position. The ideal candidate understands how piano teachers and schools operate and is comfortable building long-term partnerships within the music education community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach piano teachers, independent studios and piano schools in Singapore.
  • Introduce and demonstrate the Feeling Music App to potential teacher and school partners.
  • Explain how Feeling Music can complement existing piano teaching and students' practice between lessons.
  • Develop relationships with teachers and schools and encourage them to recommend Feeling Music to their students.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential channel partners.
  • Follow up with interested teachers and schools and support partner onboarding.
  • Collect feedback from teachers, schools and students and communicate market insights to the Feeling Music team.
  • Identify potential partnerships, events, teacher communities and other channels that could help expand Feeling Music's reach.
  • Where relevant, help develop relationships with piano education communities outside Singapore, particularly in Southeast Asia and Greater China.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who combines piano education knowledge, industry relationships and a sales mindset.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Basic knowledge of piano playing and piano teaching.
  • Good understanding of how piano teachers, studios and music schools operate.
  • Existing relationships within the Singapore piano teaching / music education community.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial and results-oriented sales mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and develop opportunities with limited supervision.
  • Interest in technology, education and new approaches to music learning.

Experience as a piano teacher, music-school manager, music education consultant, piano/music industry sales professional, or someone who has worked closely with piano teachers and schools would be particularly relevant.

Additional Advantages

The following are strong pluses but are not mandatory:

  • Existing piano-teacher or music-school networks in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong or other international markets.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese in addition to English.
  • Other language capabilities such as Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Cantonese, Thai or Vietnamese.
  • Previous experience in channel sales, partnerships, business development or education-related sales.
  • Experience working with music schools, examination organisations, music publishers, instrument companies or other businesses serving piano teachers.

Working Arrangement

This role is designed to be flexible and can be structured as a part-time, contract or project-based engagement.

The individual will work closely with the Feeling Music team while having flexibility in how they develop and manage their teacher and school network.

The compensation structure includes a combination of:

  • Fixed part-time / contract compensation; and/or
  • Performance-based commission or incentives linked to partner development and customer acquisition.

The exact structure can be discussed based on the candidate's experience, network and preferred level of involvement.

Who This Role May Suit

This opportunity may be particularly suitable for:

  • An experienced piano teacher with a strong network of fellow teachers;
  • A former or current music-school manager looking for a flexible commercial role;
  • Someone with sales or business development experience in the piano/music education industry;
  • A music education professional with strong teacher relationships who would like to work part-time;
  • An industry professional with regional piano education connections who can help Feeling Music expand beyond Singapore.

How to Apply

Please send us a brief introduction outlining your relevant experience, your involvement in the piano/music education industry, and the markets or teacher communities where you have established relationships.

We are particularly interested in understanding the piano teacher and music school networks you are familiar with and how you believe you could help Feeling Music develop these partnerships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
