Reports To: Business Development Manager – Modern Trade

1. Job Purpose

The Business Development Executive – E-Commerce is responsible for supporting the growth and performance of the Singapore e-commerce business across the Company’s own online platform and third-party marketplaces.

The role focuses on driving online sales, customer acquisition, brand visibility and channel profitability through effective platform management, business development, promotional planning, digital marketing coordination and performance analysis.

The incumbent is also responsible for identifying new e-commerce opportunities and partnerships, optimising product listings and promotions, monitoring market and competitor activities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

2. Key Accountabilities

A. E-Commerce Sales & Business Development

• Identify and pursue new e-commerce business opportunities, marketplaces, partnerships and customer segments to support revenue growth.

• Support the development and execution of the Company’s e-commerce growth strategy.

• Explore new digital sales channels and partnership opportunities aligned with the Company’s business objectives.

• Develop business proposals and presentation materials for new partnerships, online platforms and commercial opportunities.

• Support negotiations with e-commerce platforms, partners and other relevant stakeholders.

• Build and maintain strong business relationships with marketplace representatives, suppliers and business partners.

B. E-Commerce Platform Management

• Manage and maintain the Company’s e-commerce platform and third-party online marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee, Amazon and other applicable platforms.

• Ensure product listings, descriptions, images, pricing and product information are accurate, complete and updated.

• Coordinate the listing and launch of new products across relevant e-commerce channels.

• Monitor product availability and work closely with internal teams to minimise out-of-stock situations.

• Ensure online stores and product pages are maintained in accordance with Company branding and platform requirements.

• Monitor platform updates, policies and algorithm changes that may impact online sales performance.

C. Sales, Pricing & Promotion Management

• Monitor online sales performance and recommend appropriate actions to achieve sales targets.

• Plan and execute online promotions, campaigns, bundles and other sales initiatives.

• Review pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while protecting business margins.

• Monitor promotional effectiveness and evaluate the return on investment of campaigns.

• Coordinate promotional mechanics, pricing and campaign requirements with relevant internal departments and external platforms.

• Identify opportunities to improve sales conversion, average order value and repeat purchases.

D. Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition

• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute digital campaigns that drive traffic, customer acquisition and sales conversion.

• Support the development of engaging online marketing content and promotional concepts.

• Coordinate marketplace advertising, sponsored listings and other digital promotional activities where applicable.

• Monitor customer behaviour and online shopping trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support initiatives to improve customer engagement, retention and loyalty.

• Ensure digital marketing and e-commerce activities are aligned with the Company’s overall

brand positioning.

E. Sales Performance & Business Analytics

• Track and analyse e-commerce sales performance, customer behaviour, product performance and promotional results.

• Prepare regular sales and performance reports for Management.

• Monitor key e-commerce performance indicators and identify areas requiring corrective action or improvement.

• Conduct competitor analysis covering product assortment, pricing, promotions and marketplace activities.

• Use available data and analytical tools to identify sales opportunities and recommend business actions.

• Monitor market trends and changes in consumer buying behaviour relevant to the

Company’s e-commerce business.

|F. Partnership & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain effective working relationships with marketplace account managers, platform representatives and other external business partners.

• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance and other departments to support smooth e-commerce operations.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve order, pricing, inventory, promotional and customer-related issues.

• Support cross-functional projects relating to e-commerce development and digital transformation.

• Communicate business requirements clearly to relevant stakeholders and follow through on agreed actions.

G. Budget & Expense Management

• Monitor e-commerce expenses and ensure spending is within approved budgets.

• Track promotional, advertising, platform and other related expenses.

• Evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of e-commerce spending.

• Maintain accurate records of approved expenses and supporting documents.

• Highlight significant budget variances or cost concerns to the Reporting Manager.

H. Artificial Intelligence & Digital Tools

• Apply appropriate AI tools and digital technologies to improve productivity, content development, data analysis and e-commerce activities.

• Explore new technology and automation opportunities that can improve online sales performance and operational efficiency.

• Keep abreast of emerging e-commerce tools, digital trends and relevant technology developments.

• Ensure the responsible and appropriate use of AI and digital tools in accordance with Company requirements.

I. Project & Administrative Support

• Manage multiple e-commerce projects and initiatives concurrently and ensure agreed timelines are met.

• Prepare business presentation decks, partnership proposals and Management reports.

• Maintain proper records relating to e-commerce activities, campaigns and business partnerships.

• Participate in meetings, projects and business reviews as required.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Manager or Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional qualifications in digital marketing, e-commerce or business development will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, sales, digital marketing or business development.

• Hands-on experience managing online marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee, Amazon or similar platforms is preferred.

• Experience in FMCG, food distribution, retail or consumer products will be advantageous.

• Experience in e-commerce campaigns, promotions and marketplace account management is preferred.

~ Knowledge & Skills

Good understanding of e-commerce, marketplace operations and online sales.

Knowledge of digital marketing, customer acquisition, pricing and promotions.

Able to analyse sales data and turn insights into actions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Familiar with AI and digital technologies for e-commerce.

Strong presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
